Oh fuck. I do not need this right now. Dammit.

Though I noticed that one of my top records of the year is their top record: Neko Case's Middle Cyclone and it's on sale for a measly $1.99. If you don't pick it up at this price you're retarded!

It's too bad I already have all the metal albums they list that I'd want.

I snagged the 50 Best Classical pieces one. Too many good songs in one place for $5 to pass up.

Going to sample a bunch of these when I get home, but if anyone has any recommendations, particularly from the Alternative/Indie section, keep posting them.

I grabbed fun's Aim and Ignite from this sale the other day. Combined with $3 in credit I had, it cost me $2!

From the Alt/Indie section, a few popped out at me as some I'd like to pick up, most notably, Horn of Plenty by Grizzly Bear (everyone I know raves about this record), Does You Inspire You by Chairlift (a couple really strong tracks... though I haven't heard the rest), and Crack the Skye by Mastodon is the only metal album in a really long time I can stomach. I'll also throw out Regina Spektor's Far, it's a bit silly, but I liked the album overall.

And, of course, Flight of the Conchords.

I don't know why I'm torturing myself looking at these, I really want a bunch of 'em, but I'd have to pay full price due to my Canadianity.

I was going to make a joke about how none of them are good, but there are good ones in there, so... shit.

Cheap online deals and microtransactions are like having your paycheck nibbled to pieces by mice.

It is the deal of the day.

I strongly recommend 11:11. Awesome driving music.

Are those the crazy guitar people linked in the thread I made last month? If so, I'll probably get that, too.

Yeah, between this and Steam. Christmas is for buying gifts for other people right?

Would downloading a bunch of albums and burning them onto a CD or dropping them on a flash drive as a gift be tacky?

Picked up "Float" by Flogging Molly. Been meaning to grab it for a bit now and that just made it hard not too. Didn't see too much else but then again, I didn't look too hard.

That depends. How many CDs would we be giving out?

Thanks for the recommendations. Grabbed Middle Cyclone, 11:11, and Aim and Ignite. Three albums for $12. Good deal.

+1
I recommend Rodrigo y Gabriela in general, all their albums are good. They are a heavy-metal influenced acoustic guitar duo, and have incredible performances.

I discovered them by channel surfing and saw them on Conan and was floored by their amazing performance. (Incidentally, the video can be seen here.)

I came to also discover that they are influenced by Metallica (one of my all-time favorite bands) and they do some good covers of Orion and One on other albums which I also recommend checking out. They are on eMusic.com too, so if you want to do the free trial and get 50 free mp3s and grab them there, I recommend it (shameless plug if you want to use me as referral if you decide to subscribe so I get some credits )

Edit: I also wanted to add that all of Rodigo y Gabriela's music are instrumental, no vocals.
