Final Fantasy XIII Dated For US/EU

It has been a very long wait for fans of the series, but the wait will soon be over. Announced at the end of a new trailer that can be seen at the official site for the game, it will be out on March 9th, 2010.

The trailer includes new footage of the game, as well as interviews with members of the dev team. It also reveals that the game's theme will be sung by vocalist Leona Lewis, and will be called My Hands.

Ah nice, just alongside Heavy Rain and God of war 3. I hope HR sucks so I don't have to sell my house.

This means I have until March to finish FFIII my last main FF game to complete. I also need to play Crisis Core.

Hmm...which console should I get it on? I'm actually leaning towards the PS3, but it might be a tough call.

What? they didn't show the transforming summons?
I have a feeling I'm going to be disappointed in yet another post FF9 game.
I'll still play it though, because I love me some JRPG's, and there haven't been very many so far this gen that have interested me.

Initially, PS3 for me, not that the inevitable disc swaps on 360 would bother me that much (apart from having to install them all in the first place).

Although I'm expecting to hear of all the things missing from the 360 version to get it down to a reasonable size.

PS3 for me. 1 Disc and it just seems natural to play on a Playstation.

I'm also going with PS3. I can't argue with one disc! I remember how excited I was when FFX came out on a single DVD after years of having 3 and 4 discs to swap among.

This is the non-MMO one, right? Cannot watch the trailer at work. If so, I'll probably pick this one up. Been quite a while since I have really played a FF game.

Correct, not the MMO. Curse them for not giving the MMO's a different numbering scheme.

Man, I am really excited for this game now. I wasn't a big fan of XII, but this one looks more in X's style, which I really enjoyed. The chaining mechanic looks interesting.

PS3...because i've played every FF game from VII onward on that platform.

thank god for an official date. i wish i was later to be honest with GoW3 coming out round that time also...but i know S-E wants to release it before their fiscal year ends.

Campy infomercial aside--"In this FF, we used HD for the first time!"--I'm looking forward to this. I actually didn't expect it so soon.

360 version for me. It's where my social network is.

For you Xbox people, Microsoft is doing some kind of twitter FFXIII thing over here.

Apparently an Xbox live token will be mailed to you in December. My guess? A demo.
