Also tits.
If we're geeking out about this, though, Samus definitely wins in a fight. Her armor is much more powerful than Master Chief's. Her weaponry easily outclasses his. She is more agile both in and out of the suit. Also: |

Ah the age old question, which cyborg would win. Since I adore both I went with the more technologically advanced, Samus. Sorry MC, but Samus at full strength would rape you in seconds. MC would keep firing, but Samus' energy tanks would keep her alive long enough to fire off a plasma beam, or a super missile. Game over.
Edit: I mean, if MC has problems with Elites and Brutes, and Hunters, then Samus would be too much for him. |

Can her suit keep her from burning up while falling to Earth?
I mean that's about the toughest thing I've seen MC's armor withstand.

It probably could but you'd lose your missiles and grappling hook in the process.

Heh. True. MC could probably take out Samus in the bare bones power suit, but if Samus if fully stocked with energy packs, armor upgrades, and all her weaponry it's no contest.

All MC has to do is hide for 10 seconds and he is good as new. I think Samus has to find a healthpack or something.

That would be either an energy sphere from a downed enemy or a recharge station.

Samus may have a more powerful suit but the chief has a way out of every situation. Kinda like a cool version of Macguyver. He also has the laws of improbability on his side.
I say the chief

This whole discussion can take many forms IMO. We can debate a battle where Samus is in here basic suit with just one energy tank and a short range energy beam. In that case MC would destroy her. On the other hand if she were to be fully powered up MC would get destroyed. In all of the Halo universe I don't think the MC has ever faced anything as powerful as Samus... unless you count the Scarab. But that thing was a slow lumbering vehicle that he could sneak on board. Samus is as fast, or faster then the MC, has unlimted ammo(he does not) except for missles. He has unlimited health, and she does not. But If one powered up plasma beam knocks his shields down to nothing, I think one shot from Samus' plasma beam would do the same. Follow up with a missile, super missile, charge beam shot, he would die. Of course, one could argue that the chief could bring a sniper rifle and spartan laser to the fight and rip her apart from long range... yeah like I said, this discussion can go in many directions, it's not just cut and dry. But I went with the simplest answer. Samus at full strength is more powerful then the MC. Therefore Samus>MC. Samus wins. YMMV. |

That's only his shields. Any damage he takes when his shields are down needs to be healed separately. Considering the amount of damage Samus can dish out in a short time he's going to be hurting quickly.

Again, another thing to consider here. How geek do we get? Which versions of MC and Samus are we talking about? It's not as easy as it seems. I just picked Samus due to the fact that she is more powerful in her maxed out state then MC with his most powerful weapons and an over-shield. |

Samus also has an interstellar gunship that can be called in for air strikes.
I'm in agreement with the general crowd here. Basic Samus is easy prey, but fully-powered Samus could take on several Spartans and live to tell the tale.

I must apply my own psudo sci-fi science to this.
The difference between the technologies at play with both their suits are vast. Samus's suit would have to be something that utilizes dimensional pockets, probably using a sophisticated recombinant matter / anti matter battery, perhaps drawing it's power from more arcane sources. It's defensive systems are energy based and what I would call "reaction" shielding, where a reserve of energy is held it storage to which defensive systems utilize in order to "react to" incursions with undesired contacts. The limit of this systems protection are only limited to the amount of energy it has available to it. Improvements in her armor would often mean increased efficiency of energy delivery to the shield system, perhaps introducing "dampening" like characteristics where the shield acts to reduce offensive impact of incoming fire to a level that it is completely shrugged off by the physical armor with the overall energy loss a minimum. The chiefs armor is mundane by comparison, it's primary function is to provide a layer of energy based shielding to the cybernetic organism wearing it. The nature of how it behaves I would deem "ablative-reformative". The Chiefs energy defenses have lower entropy and potentially greater efficiency, yet are much more limited to what they can deal with as a total. As it takes fire it's layers of phased electromagnetic force are scattered and broken within the shields aural limits, the energy is not lost per say, it simply is energized to a state that cannot form an effective defense any longer. After the point of complete failure the system requires time to reallocate the scattered energies into a usable form building from the bottom up Time limitations of this process suggest problems with heat build up.
