Gyromancer - Square Enix + Popcap = Puzzle Quest???
Square Enix and Popcap are teaming up to make a new game call Gyromancer. Personally, I think this will be heralded as the spiritual successor to Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords.
Click the source link to see the video. You'll see it immediately. I'm kind excited now. Source - Joystiq EDIT: Mods, can you move this to the General Gaming area?

It's a bit too pretty to be on the DS. I think the PSP would be able to do most of that though.

Yep, it's just a direct ripoff of Puzzle Quest. Popcap continues its tradition of taking other peoples' ideas.
...not to say I'm uninterested... |

I like the look of this. My GF still plays PQ, to death sometimes.

Yeah, because Puzzle Quest didn't rip off any of Popcap's ideas.

I enjoyed Puzzle Quest. Another slightly different version with prettier graphics will appease me. Most FPS games are clones of one of each other but that doesn't stop me from playing Half-Life and Call of Duty.

But, as I said before, I'm still looking forward to this game. I liked Puzzle Quest, and I'll gladly play more of it, with a new story and new characters. It just bugs me when people say that any idea was stolen from Popcap. |

And Popcap has complained about clones of their games in the past, which only adds to the delicious irony.

I never played Puzzle Quest so that video was...well it was certainly interesting for a puzzle game. To bad it's not on the handhelds, ADDGirl would of hauled this around everywhere playing it.
