Awesome movie references aside, this is the thread for the best game that will come out this year. You could argue otherwise, but you'd be wrong.

So, discuss to your hearts content, the game comes out 25 days from this post.

And to kick things off, the first 2 reviews:

IGN's Review: 9.5 (Video Review)

Games Radar Review: 10/10

And to get it out of the way: They're first reviews when there are no others out, they can't be trusted, the game is probably very mediocre. There, now that's out of the way, you're welcome.

The Sony blog on the official webpage states that the IGN review is an exclusive. No one is saying that it's not a good game but of course, first reviews must be taken with a grain of salt no matter what game it is and no matter what platform it appears on.

I didn't like the first one, it was a good game but not a great game. I've heard that this may have fixed a lot of the boring spots so I'll give this a rental and if it grabs me I'll end up keeping it.

The beta was pretty fun for the co-op through the SP mission except for the retarded team killers.

Well i'm glad i saw this thread. I just saved myself $60. I mean if you are saying the game is mediocre, why even bother renting it

I'm so glad they decided to spread out the quality releases this year. October barely has any exiting games in it!

Fifa 10 02/10

Brutal Legend 15/10

Borderlands 23/10
Dragon Age 23/10
GTA4: Ballad of Gay Tony 29/10

Uncharted is one of the best games this generation and it's the only game I've played through consecutively this generation. 3 times, in fact. It says a lot when I'm willing to play a game all over again these days. Looking forward to the sequel.

Damn, BR, UC2 and Dragon Age all in 1 week. I'm not buying 3 at the same time though. So I'll probably buy BR and UC2 and wait till I finish at least 1 of them until DA. By that time I know what the real verdict on DA is as well.

Absolutely. My big gift this year for Christmas (and probably only one, should I get it) will be a PS3 if I have anything to do with it--though unsurprisingly, I usually don't, as any married guy will tell you.

Anyway, I have a list of exclusive games I'll be picking up, and both Uncharteds top it.
