Rank Hypocrisy

Senator Ted Kennedy should resign; I agree.

In 2004, with a Republican governor ready to choose a Senate replacement if Kerry won the election, Kennedy pushed to have the law changed to require a special election.

In 2009, with a Democratic governor, Kennedy is pushing to change the law again to allow the governor to directly appoint a successor. His excuse?

Of course, Kennedy has missed most of the last 270 roll-call votes.

Sickness is understandable. His behavior, not so much. So shameless. So disgusting. So...predictable.

Well this is Ted Kennedy we're talking about, its not all that suprising.

Other guy gets to pick a replacement? We need a special election!

My guy gets to pick a replacement? We need someone in there ASAP!

He had no issue with the citizens not getting a voice when he thought there was a chance that voice wasn't going to agree with him.

Wait, we're talking about the same guy who killed a girl? Hypocrisy wouldn't be the first word that came to mind if I were to think about him.

Wait...I thought it was that he "kissed a girl...and liked it."

I can't keep it straight. Katy Perry...Ted Kennedy. Who can keep it all organized?

Tasteless joke du jour:

What's Ted Kennedy's favorite drink? A Chappaquiddick: Scotch and murky water.

Carry on...

No argument here, this looks like pretty despicable politicking.

And yes, someone who can't effectively fill their role in government over a lengthy or potentially interminable period for whatever reason should resign.
