This Week at the Nintendo Shop: a Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

Despite Nintendo's best efforts to make their Wii and DSi download services completely irrelevant in today's gaming marketplace, there's actually a couple of titles that might be worth downloading this week. NyxQuest is probably as close as we're likely to get to a Kid Icarus remake. Plus, it's a gorgeous game with gameplay noticeably similar to WiiWare favorite Lostwinds, which would definitely be welcome. Add to that Rock N' Roll Climber and a new DSiWare Brain Age installment, and you have a pretty good lineup this week. But let's not forget the best item on the list: Super Star Wars for the SNES on the Virtual Console. Is this why Nintendo has left the VC in a veritable drought the past few weeks? So we would save up our points for this beauty? Works for me.

Full game descriptions and links below.

Enjoy!

Wow, this is actually a pretty great set. NyxQuest (despite having an incredibly awful name) looks like a ton of fun, and Super Star Wars is a great title. Don't know anything about Rock n' Roll Climber, but any week where I want to buy two things on WiiWare/VC is a pretty good week in my book.

sweet. Super Star Wars. Will be getting that one today, hopefully they put out Empire and Jedi, my fave, yet punishingly hard SNES games.

EDIT - just watched the trailer for NYX... think i'm getting that one too.

Those SNES Star Wars games are absolute classics.
