Bah. Nothing at my hollywood video.

Force Unleashed for PS3 for $20.00, but I seem to recall hearing that price before.

IF anyone finds themselves in a hollywood video or anywhere else where used games for PS3 are $5.00 I'd love you forever if you pick up any and all titles. I only have a couple games and for that price I'm not worried about dupes. I will pay you immediatly via paypal and pay for shipping and throw in the price of a double-scoop ice cream cone for your troubles.

I'm a solid fellow. References: The Keck, Supermansdead, Dustbunny of Doom, Loki, Midrael

I'm in as well. I haven't found any mega deals recently. Not since the $10 Best Buy sale back in the spring, anyway.

Was Force Unleashed used for $20? Because if it is it would ring up as $5 automatically. Anything used under $29.99 should ring up that way. I don't think any HWV stores are not participating unless they are connected to a dedicated Game Crazy so you should have had it scanned. Did you at least see the 4.99 sale sign? It's green and should be near the used games.

And Force Unleashed should be $15 NEW at HWV. That's what people are reporting and that's what it is in my store.

Decided to see what my Target had today, and the answer was a bunch of copies of Patapon and Wheelman. I did end up justifying my trip buy getting a crapload of rulers for my classroom (red pens were on sale too, wheeee!), and also a copy of Riddick for $15. Kind of awesome to peel off the sticker and see another clearance sticker underneath for $40. They also had a copy of HAWX, but it was for $30 (I even scanned it on one of the little scan-it-yourself machines to make sure), so no sale.

If anyone happens to find a copy of Motorstorm: Pacific Rift at their local Target (and assuming Kelegacy manages to find a copy first, since he asked first), pick it up and send me a PM!

EDIT: Also, BOO HOO for me, as the local Hollywood Video closed at the beginning of summer to make way for an Anthropologie, because we definitely needed another overly expensive clothing store here in Charlottesville. Not that I ever went to Hollywood Video, but I'm sad I missed out on this super sale!

There were a whole bunch of Target coupons in our local (Des Moines area) Sunday newspaper this week. One of them was $5 off any Wii game priced $49.99 or lower (so, essentially any Wii game). Using it tomorrow to pick up LEGO Star Wars for $15.

If anyone had that $15 Riddick that would be great.

Also from CAG. I know some of you don't have Gamecrazys but I have 4 in close proximity. So let me know.

Here is a list of $18.99 new games that dropped. I am not posting the used price either because it's unavailable on the sheet I have or it hasn't changed, but in most cases, it'll be $17.99 or $14.99. The big deal for the $18.99 new games is because GC periodically runs a B2G1F or B1G1F on $18.99 new games and people always complain because the $18.99 games are pretty shitty, but there's actually a lot of great new additions to the $18.99 new category. If the price is lower than $18.99, it will be noted. If the price is $18.99, nothing will be listed. And here we go!

This is too good a "story" to pass up.

Apparently Best Buy wants to compete with Gamestop and GameCrazy, and in some stores (this hasn't been really confirmed by a large amount of people yet) they're willing to sell you NEW games for Gamestop USED prices.

This is huge for us that like cheaper NEW games and want to support the developers. Anyone see this sign at their local Best Buys?

Wow. They are going after Gamestop big time. Hope they don't go broke doing it.

And now that I found my way here...awesome thread Kdawg! I'm going to scour my Target near me but going a bit further tonight to other Targets that might be near a mall. I'll keep an eye out for L4D cheap

Do you like QTE games? Thats what you are buying for your $10.

BBV canada has buy 2 pre-played games (any system) get one free. If its in canada its most likely in the US stores as well.

Also as a cheap deal I picked up The Witcher (pc) regular edition for 9.98 at ebgames. Emailed the atari support page to get a cd-key for The Witcher (not printed in manual of the regular edition) - suggest sending for the key first then buy the game when it comes (takes about a 24hrs). Update it for free to the Enhanced edition, then update it for free to the Director's cut using patches off the website. a $49.99 game for 9.98.

I need to do this. Will check around Gamestops in my area and see if I can find original Witcher for $10. If I can't find one, I'll probably offer to reimburse somebody if there are more copies near any of you guys.

I love how they're specifically calling out GameStop and GameCrazy, rather than saying, "used game prices from local competitors." Like it's not enough to enter direct competition with them, but to call them out by name is kind of a cockslap in their faces.

Which is not to say that I don't approve of a good cockslap. Just a very unusual tactic to name your competition like that, at least in my experience.

I have three Gamestop/EB games near me. If you don't find it, let me know. I might be able to snag a copy for you. I'm going to try to find a copy of the Witcher myself for that price.

Edit: Send me a PM since i'll see that quicker.

I saw Force Unleashed for $20.00 at Target, actually. My target has JACK for sale games as well.

Bah.

I will be all over this when I have funds to bargain hunt. How sad is it that I am so broke I can't even bargain hunt? Too many bills creaped up on me at the same time. It's going to be a long couple of weeks but it's all good since both Targets on my route to work were cleaned out.

They probably had to call out the competition they would honor price matching for, otherwise folks would try to match anything under the sun, be it half.com, a garage sale, the kid who lives down the hall in the dorm who needs to sell a game to buy more weed etc. They must have implemented a way to check the prices being offered by Gamestop/crazy as well, because I know it was a bitch to get them to match prices for on sale NEW games against places like Circuit City in the past.
