North American Dragonball License Goes to Namco Bandai
Namco Bandai has acquired the North American rights to publish the Dragonball family of games. The license had been held by Atari, and the loss is likely another big blow to the floundering publisher.
While the deal technically begins in 2010 and runs for five years, Namco Bandai has also acquired the rights to a trio of Dragonball games scheduled for release this year. Dragon Ball: Raging Blast for the 360 and PS3, Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo for the Wii, and Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans for the DS will all come out this year in North America under the Namco Bandai name. Sounds like good news, actually. Assuming that Atari was responsible for the iffy localizations, anyway.

Seems like a perfect fit. Hell, Atari and Banamco seem almost interchangeable.

Well, Bandai Namco was always the publisher for these games in Japan anyway, so it isn't surprising to see them pluck the US license out of the water as Atari sinks deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Well NB isn't going anywhere for a while. Nice pick up of a license for them. Atari, well...should we start looking at a countdown till they go under?
