The Thread of Facebook Games What Aren't Shit.

So, since I have a Facebook now, largely because of the need to park the business pages for Hulks and Horrors and Bedroom Wall Press, I've been dipping my toe into the gaming side of it.

Naturally, even the best of Facebook games are loaded with microtransaction motherfuckery, but I thought it would be useful to make a thread for those that still manage to be fun in spite of them, and actually enjoyable for people who play real games and not shit like Farmville.

So far I've found two favorites:

You Don't Know Jack - This is kind of a no brainer. The game is incredibly stingy with the free games, but it's still the YDKJ you know and love in bite sized chunks, and definitely worth logging on for a quick 5 questions every day.

Heroes of Neverwinter - The D&D 4e video game. How delightfully appropriate that the only non-vaporware version of the game would wind up being a Facebook game. Unsurprisingly though, the version of D&D that feels most like a video game actually makes for a much better video game than a tabletop game. Turn-based D&D in any form is rare, and this one's worth the look. Like YDKJ though, this one's stingy with the amount of playtime you can squeeze out in a day.

I've found myself needing to use Facebook because that's how we coordinate morning basketball at work.

This has not made me feel obligated to start wasting my time with horrifying Facebook games.

Are there any good casual multiplayer games? My wife got a massive start on YDKJ, so I need to find something else that we can play together while she's posted in DC.
