Is it possible to add an alternate youtube bb code such as or add the youtube icon to quick replies? It's a minor annoyance, but would save me some time as I do post quite a bit of youtube clips.

I try to avoid [Go Advanced] since it's an extra page load, while quickly reply is handled with Ajax.

There's the ythd tag, in case you didn't know.

Yep, that seemed pretty ajaxy. So it actually saves you two page loads.

Ok, the {yt} tag should work now for youtube. I'm still looking to add the icon to the quick editor.

A few things, it'd be nice if it would work with the full URL instead of having to trim to the code every time. It also doesn't work in Tapatalk -> I'm not sure if there's some custom translation that can be done with that plugin.

It works on Tapatalk for android, it just gives out a url, and I remember it working on Tapatalk for iOS.

I believe they can't do the url because it messes with the URL parser.

I can confirm that Tapatalk iOS embeds videos when you use the YouTube tag. The same is not true for yt and ythd tags
