Star Wars Ep 8 is The Last Jedi

Star Wars Episode VIII is now officially The Last Jedi.

Note that 'Jedi' is both singular and plural, so keep that in mind while speculating wildly.

Ooohh, the logo is red. That can't be good.

Star Wars - The Last Jedi hits theaters in December.

No need to rush, it doesn't connect to this at all.

I know, but I want to see it in theaters and this reminded me that I haven't yet done so. Although at this point I might wait until it hits the cheap theater in a month or two.

The logo was red for Return of the Jedi, so who knows? I enjoyed Force Awakens, but I'm hoping now that they got a foundation to build upon that they will be a bit more bold in what story they weave. Looking forward to this!

^This. TFA doesn't hold up well on repeated viewings. Also, the dialogue is THE WORST. It's like the worst cliche generator ever made, which gets exponentially worse in the fighter battle at the end.

"Hit it with everything you've got!"
"Hah! Direct hit!"
"I'm going in!"
"I'm with you, Poe!"

Starwars, cliche? Nah, never.

It's not like kylo ren is going to be on the light side when this is all over. Nah, don't see it. None of the people went to the dark side ever came back. Ever. Never.

Wrong, Darth Vader / Anakin did it was just too late to matter.

This so this. TFA has the weakest script I've ever seen. IT also has what I'd like to call, "script hot potato" - where there's a single 2 minute scene where they all sit around plan an attack with minimal information to wrap up the script in the shortest time possible.

Just atrocious.

Meh to the title. Seems like a bait title. "Will Luke die!" Etc.

I'm rather hoping Luke gets a chance to shine as one of the supposedly most powerful Jedi but we shall see.

I agree TFA was good for what it had to work with but it was really just setting everything up again and I hope they build on it and go places.

Looking forward to the new one... and all Star Wars movies that come out now until the end of time.

TFA we only watch certain scenes, my son loves to watch the falcon chase on jakku and then he's done until 20 min later and wants to watch it again.

If Luke tells Rey "...there is no try," I demand he look at the audience.

I look forward to people claiming they love the movie and then talk about only the last 30 seconds.

I am a huge Rian Johnson fan, which makes me doubly sad that he has hitched his wagon to this Corpro-Fascist regime.
