Huh, didn't know that either. "Realms of Fear and Loathing" it is.

I did download it when it became available, but I too have yet to actually play it. I have about 20+ games queued up I've yet to even touch, so going back to replay titles just hasn't happened.

I'll try Arch on my next playthrough. I've found pretty good success dual wielding maces with dwarven handshake, and vampirism. I eat alive monster zoos. Smithing to make the nice armor and maces and of course burglary.

Until they nerfed it, Burglary was in my skill set every single time. Archeology is priceless though. With a few points in it you can recharge an anvil of Krong for a second try, if the stats still don't work out on an artifact you can randomise them and if it's still not good enough, send it off for XP. Beserker comes with a neat skill that adds a ton of basic elemental resistances.

I was recently gifted this game by a fellow cog user. I haven't had so much fun getting my ass handed to me.

I'm in. I haven't played much of the first expansion yet, but I'll pick this up just to support the Gaslamp guys. Stand-up folks.

I love that you used the term DPS in a turn based game.

Huh, I'll have to take a look at the expansion. Really, though, I couldn't beat the game without the expansion, so unless it makes it easier, I doubt I'll need it. Hmm, perhaps that will be its name, then.

Pretty much, this one turned out like every other turn-based rogue-like I've played: I take awhile to figure out how it works, make progress getting into the dungeon, hit a point where it just gets frustrating and then give up and quit. I could always try one of the easier levels, I guess, but that doesn't seem in the right spirit of the game.

I remember I promised myself I'd play it until I died. I had a good heavy defense build, blocking, armor and dodging...could resist physical damage and recover while fighting off whole monster rooms if I was smart about it. maybe drop one pot or eat a piece of cheese...

but i got down to like level 9 or 10 i can't remember maybe it was even deeper...and I wasn't paying attention, and this one mob like hit me 4 times in a row thanks to random missing and I was just dead...I just kinda shook my head and I started Skyrim. He was my second guy and he lasted a long damn time.

an excellent game with a great sense of humor (lutafisk cube + lutafisk cube = luls)...but I hated the mobs that could fuck up your magic equipment. those guys could go fuck themselves.

I wanna start a new guy now.

I hated that aspect with a passion. Especially before I knew they could do that, and my shit got trashed immediately.

The good news is that the mobs that corrupt your equipment are pretty much always found on the same floors every time. I haven't really played the expansions yet, so maybe they added more mobs with that ability, but I fucking hope not. Just stay away from Magic Dragons and Blobs of Corruption. I always make sure that by the time I run into a floor with either (I believe they only start appearing around floors 6 or 7, but my memory be hazy) I either have a decent ranged weapon or spell tree capable of picking them off first. Both corrupting mobs are about as resilient as Glass Joe when it comes to taking damage, so just don't let them close in on you and they're a cakewalk.

You leave my thought process alone, it's barely functional as it is.

I named the expansion pack. I'm better than all those Dredmore die-ers.
