WeekEND gaming (4.14.17)- What are YOU playing?

Began to think about this WeekEND's thread, wasn't sure what I wanted so I started a Google search on a Google home page and I was greeted with this:

Then my brain raged with WHAT ELSE DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ME GOOGLE, WHAT!!.

If nothing else, it gave me the weekEND's thread starter.

They are watching, so...

What are YOU playing?

Might be a busy weekend, but I have tomorrow off so I have a three day weekend. That should be awesome!

Should have plenty of time for Xenoblade Chronicles and whatever short game strikes my fancy next. Kecks kecking guilt trips may make me decide on Specter Knight, but Theatrhythm is calling my name as well.

Final Fantasy XV - I just started Chapter 13 so nearing the end. Should get the main game finished up this weekend and then decide how much post game I want to do.

The new Hearthstone expansion looked fun but I logged in to find a good portion of the powerful cards I used to have that were part of the "basic" set were removed so now I can't build any decks without spending $60+. So now I'm looking for another card game to scratch that itch for maybe less money. Until then it's more Overwatch while the event is happening.

Lots of Easter stuff with the kids this weekend, egg hunts, family shenanigans, going to the pool, all that jazz. Probably not a lot of gaming time, but when I do it'll be Persona 5.

Tomorrow is my twins' birthday and we have Easter stuff too. Plus there's the aforementioned Lion King showing tonight. Big weekend.

I've been playing too much Persona 5, so of course I plan to keep doing that.

I also need to play some Overwatch so I can be disappointed with my event loot boxes.

Signed up for the Gamefly $1 for a month deal, so now I have Horizon Zero Dawn and Nier: Automata waiting to be played. Should be a fun weekend.

Mr Shifty and Andromeda. Also tempted to grab Bayonetta, but I was reading it was a bit of a rough port.

I'll be playing Persona 5. That game is like crack. Every night I'm all "Just a couple more days". I like the cast a lot, although I am about sick of the fucking cat telling me what to do at night.

I also need to try out the new Overwatch event, as it's supposed to be really good. I think the love affair with the game has ended, though.

I'll be playing Persona 5 for the foreseeable future. I'm about 25 hours in and just finished what I assume to be the first half of the second Palace. I don't think this is a spoiler, but I was a bit surprised that it actually forced me out of the palace when I hit the halfway point. I had spent some time in Mementos grinding enough cash to outfit most of my party with SP items and was ready to do the whole thing in one go. Oh well, decided to just farm that last area I had been in until I hit 100,000 Yen and basically ran out of bullets since a few of the shadows were weak to them.

I'll also be playing some Magic: The Gathering Commander tomorrow morning with a few people from work. I got back into it about 3 years ago, and now I've got a bunch of other people hooked. Nice to have people to play with again.

For a second I thought you meant you had an identical twin yourself and had just never mentioned it and got very excited. Then I realized it was your kids.

Happy birthday Santa!

Thank goodness for careful apostrophe usage! :P

In other news, I had a doctor's appointment today. I sent my wife this text: "They took an ultrasound of my thyroid and got ultrasound goop all over my shirt collars. 😝"

The preview on her phone just showed: "They took an ultrasound of my thyroid and got". Apparently she was freaking out that I had cancer or something. Fun times.

Everything I've read has said that this is one of the best ports ever. Most of the reviews on Metacritic say it's the best way to play the game.

Happy Birthday Santa.

My older brother came up with his two daughters/granddaughters (he is in the process of adopting them) and we had lunch. The rest of the afternoon will be spent doing yard work. Bleh

Tomorrow will be determined by what Tay decides to do. If she goes out of town I will play Persona 5. If she stays in town I will spend it with her doing whatever. Sunday of course is all about Easter before headed back to the grind on Monday.

Oh crap.... I need to take an hour or two to do my taxes. It should not be anything complicated but I do need to get that done.

It's funny how different people approach this. We are always eager to do our taxes as quickly as possible. To the point where we often file and then get a surprise document in the mail that we weren't counting on. We've only had to actually amend our return once.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. This birthday is a lot better than my last one. Just being a year later makes it better.

I keep meaning to do my taxes but since I get so little back, I put it off.

Parents are in for my birthday, I finally set my father up with a chess app. That's my game playing for at the moment.

Financial people always stress how you should minimize your tax return, but then you run into this problem. We are always super motivated to get our refund in February.
