That said, $12 for The Witness right now? I might have to jump on that.

So 8-bit Bayonetta is a thing. It's not a very good thing, but it's a thing....

It is a great deal, the monthly bundle in general I mean. It is 6 or maybe 8 games, at least one major release and a good chance to check out games I might not have otherwise. Plus, I get nice guy points for giving away the games that don't interest me.

Oh, yeah, it is, it's just kinda dumb. I like the spirit of it, but what they actually did was sort of a waste. That, and it has a really ugly filter over it.

Wait, so it's NOT just an April Fool's bit? It's actually playable?

Well, I pulled the trigger for one month only. Plus I got QuipLash for -$0.20.

It is playable but it is not really worth playing. You just jump up and down shooting and dodging enemies that scroll in from the right, at least that is what I gathered from the video I watched.

Well, not exactly. I bought the current bundle for $1. This got me $1.20 off of the monthly bundle.

Oh, it is, but playable is stretching the definition of that word a bit.

Gotcha. Just cool that it's more Google Ms. Pac Man and less Google Gnome.

To say that this past week was busy would be an understatement. The new job is a lot of work but it's also really great! We are doing spring cleanup right now, which largely involves lifting hay off of beds, raking, hauling debris, etc. Hard physical labor that had me in bed early every night this past week. I am seriously out of shape, but that will hopefully change as the spring and summer progresses. My new coworkers are all lovely people and I'm so glad I made this change.

Last night Chris and I saw Lizzo in concert. She's a local artist who recently moved to L.A. and is starting to blow up nationally. She had a big hit last summer (Good as Hell) and was a smash at SXSW apparently. We saw her once before as part of her previous group. She is amazing! So much passion and energy. She really owned the stage.

Tonight we are going to see Green Day, woo! I've been wanting to see them since I was a kid, so I'm very excited. Tomorrow we have a wedding shower, so all told I have very little down time this weekend, but that's okay. Gaming in general is temporarily on the backburner, as I didn't have the time or energy this past week, nor the time this weekend. I might do some tonight after the show though, either Zelda, Binding of Isaac, Boxboy, or some combination of the above.

I read a lot of Stephen King's books as a teenager. Carrie was great, as you said, and I recall liking Salem's Lot as well although I remember very little of it. My favorite at the time was The Talisman, which I think is very underrated. One of these days I'm going to go back and read all of his works. Maybe after I retire (ha!)

Why the hell did I just download and create a character in WildStar. I don't have the time for that, damn it!

Did you ever read the sequel, Black House? It was great.

Yes, and I loved it! Black House was a dream come true for me. It's really neat that King and Straub got back together 20 years later to write a sequel that takes place 20 years after The Talisman. I was so pumped when it came out and it did not disappoint.

Now I want to read both again. My books are buried in the basement but I may have to go digging soon. I got rid of about half of them a few years ago but I think I kept all of the King works.

Don't worry. I can't imagine anyone losing more than a few hours to Wildstar.

Well, I'm done with Zelda for the near future. I just don't like it. I am at the point where I pretty much dread anything that's open world. It's so boring.
