I used to have a job where I delivered supplies to stores in different malls throughout the city. I used to frequent Gamestop/EB games a lot back then. Too much really. I had a huge game collection of games I would hardly ever play.

I actually like that it's inconvenient for me to go. Having said that, I do have a card and it does pay off for me as I do trade back games often.

I was home with my youngest son today with a fever, which really amounted to him laying around watching cartoons while I played Horizon.

So aside from wishing some phantom thieves would it wolf's house and bring me the spoils, I'll be playing:

Horizon: Zero Dawn This game. I mean, damn. I've put a good 12 or so hour in the last 3 days, and I just can't get enough. Though on my way to the last viewpoint I need I ran into "the bird". Yeah, that bird sucks. I'll be back for him. But I need to get back to the story, because damn, it's really picking up. Good stuff. I've been doing so much side stuff that I'm over 10 levels over-leveled for it, but damn if it isn't still challenging.

And that will probably be it. I'm in a mad rush to finish Horizon before Tuesday night.

Well, I'm done with Mass Effect: Boredromeda. The main story is boring, the new cast of characters aren't that engaging, and the crafting system is a waste of time. I may try finishing my lesbian romance...but the superior HZD is calling to me and Persona 5 drops next week.

This weekend's Plan™:

Horizon Zero Dawn: Why did I stop playing you and where do I find this bird Gorvi mentioned?

Ghost in the Shell: Going to see this so I can bitch about how it's not like the anime.

Iron Fist: The first episode was kinda slow. Hopefully it gets better.

The local bark park: It looks like the rain is going to finally let up and we'll have a sunny weekend. Perfect time to take the puppy to the local dog park.

Xydarc, the bird will find you. You'll only see it when you wish you didn't.

I'm still digging Andromeda but it's not going to be hard to put it down next week when P5 hits.

I'm also looking forward to P5. I've been avoiding spoilers and videos as much as I can, but I could't resist watching PlayStation Access' video. All it did was whet my appetite.

Two more Divine Beast in BOTW down. I did not have much trouble with the Thunderblight Ganon but my goodness Vah Naboris was a chore. So far, the three Ganon bosses I have taken down have been pretty easy. It really comes down to wearing the right armor. It is those damn Lynels that give me fits.

Went to Wat Chalong yesterday, a temple of note in phuket. Today is a trip to a mall and seeing ghost in the shell, I think tomorrow going to see a big Buddha statue.

One of the professors proved herself to be pretty much illiterate, recently, screwing up everything short of her name in a recent proposal. As a result, she was denied funding. She decided to put the blame on me, and what followed was a series of increasingly catty e-mails between her and my boss (with the latter vigorously defending me). This professor has also decided to take it out on my wife, who is her department's employee.

I know I've said it before, but sometimes I'm not sure it's worth it.

My wife and I are, like, 7 episodes in, and I've seen no evidence that it's going to improve. From the poor casting to the world's slowest fight scenes, the show really doesn't have much going for it. Honestly, I would've stopped before, but she figured 13 episodes wasn't much of a commitment.

I've been rather hopeful for the series, but I'm stuck at episode 8 with little will to continue. I'll finish it, but more out of a sense of completion than actual interest. I swear, if there's more Turtle watches Crane fight Monkey hokey wisdom, I'm probably done.

I found him punching shit with his Iron First pretty cool. There should've been more of that. Less chi power as an allegory for erectile dysfunction.

Mostly Switch stuff here - more Zelda, and I picked up Snake Pass on the strength of its reviews. We're headed to the Outer Banks for a week on Sunday, so more of tomorrow will be preparation for that, but the Switch is coming with, so there'll be a lot of Zelda goin' on next week.

Played some P4G last night. I made it to floor 6 or 7 in the last fight for this game. My eyes began to close and probably was sleeping when suddenly I would see myself in a fight cause a shadow had found me just standing there. I should finish today sometime, unless the last boss is that difficult. The MC is at level 80 or higher and the rest of my mates are similar, I should have enough to beat the boss.

I have a huge collection of games I have never played!

I recently decided to reel in/focus my collecting, both to avoid having so much stuff to find space for and to avoid having an enormous collection of games I may never play.

Edit; I also think maybe I will reinstall No Man's Sky, give it another shot.

Double Edit; That gamestop I was in yesterday had NES Classics in stock, selling for msrp. Still didn't pick one up but maybe they are becoming more attainable.

I've been doing really well with my console collection. PC gaming I'm still grabbing bundles, etc, but on console, I'm good at with finishing a game before buying another. Mostly...unless it's a really good deal...

Humble Monthly has helped me bring my PC purchases down a ton. I really only buy games if they are must haves and they are heavily discounted. Very rarely do I buy a $60 game on PC.

Isn't that a subscription where you buy a bunch of games every month no matter what? That sounds like the opposite of cutting down on PC purchases.
