WeekDAY gaming (3.27.17)- What are YOU still playing?

Oh look the WeekDAY is back, reminding us that we need to get back to that part of our lives that pays our bills. Good Luck Mags on your new work endeavor. I go into my week with the same hope, it remains the level of chaos at the group home that has been and I get out at decent hours to come home to do so gaming.

I did very little gaming over the weekend but it was still a good weekend for me. Although getting work around the home is not on any top ten lists for fun weekends, there is something to be said about finishing stuff off of your own to do list. That took most of my Saturday, yesterday was spent reading some and mostly watching movies. I'll spare the details on what I watched since eyebrows were slightly raised on my taste in binge tv watching (Gilmore Girls). It was a great relaxing day, just what I need to unwind, just in time to return to the group home grind.

Everyone enjoy your week. Off we go...

What are YOU still playing?

Just rediscovered my old SNES, along with Secret of Mana. Does it hold up after all these years? Absolutely. That title screen...

Played a little bit of Zelda. I wish I liked it more. I feel like I never actually do anything in that game. I just see something I want to get to, start climbing, get near the top and then it rains and I fall down.

Played a bunch of Overwatch, tho. I'm officially too bad to play with my previous group in comp, so I've been playing a bunch of Quickplay. Gorvi, come back and play with me!

Final Fantasy XV - Playing this as much as possible. Somewhere in Chapter 5, level 43 I think. 40+ hours in, I've done all the hunts that I can do at this point a few a just too tough.

Man, I haven't played since the first week of February, I really need to get back to it. But with trying to polish off Horizon before Persona 5 comes out next week, I just don't see it happening.

Speaking of, gaming this week will be:

Final Fantasy XIV The big 3.56 patch hits this week with the massive story dump that leads up to Stormblood. If it's anything like the end of the 2.X storyline it'll be 2+ hours of cutscenes with quests in between that throw the entire world into chaos. So yeah, that'll be my Tuesday night.

Horizon: Zero Dawn Can I get through the rest of the game in 8 days? Probably not, but I'm sure as hell going to try.

Toukiden 2 I didn't touch it at all over the weekend, but that will change this week.

I played a bunch of Mass Effect Andromeda over the weekend, but I didn't concentrate on the single-player nearly as much as I wanted. I'm really loving it though. I had a lot of fun exploring a planet, and I love the new crewmembers that I picked up. I can't wait to explore some more stuff and maybe start finding out about some of the stuff that is going on. I've also been having fun charging around in multi-player on the human vanguard, so I'll probably do some more of that. Although Gorvi mentioning Persona 5 reminded me that I should probably try to finish Mass Effect before then. I kinda doubt that I will though.

Rediscover? Did you set sail for your basement or attic to find buried treasure?

Well, I just had one of the least busy on-call weekends ever... I was supposed to be on call next weekend so I wonder what that will be like for the poor person who swapped with me.

As for this week, I'm looking forward to playing:

Mass Effect: Andromeda (PC) - I have put about 10 hours or so into this and still haven't done anything planetside since the initial section. I've spent too much time just talking with everyone and exploring the systems in the early part of the game. Good thing I loved the planet scanning in ME2! And the MP is finally starting to click for me.

Ace Attorney: Spirit Of Justice (3DS) - Finally made progress on this over the weekend too. I think I'm pretty close to wrapping up the second case.

Not sure what else I'll fiddle around with. I'm going to be working on this basement arcade thingy that my daughter wants for her party some more too.

The sign said the interstate is closed on the exit after mine and to use an alternate. I figured I'd be ok. I am clearly an idiot.

I downloaded AM2R today, maybe I will start it up tonight.

Today was the first day at my new job, and boy did we work hard. 9 hours of forking hay off of garden beds. Every part of my body is sore right now. I'll be in bed soon watching Netflix and likely passed out shortly after that.

My new coworkers are all great! Now to catch up to their fitness level.

I could have taken an alternate route like it told me to and I'm pretty sure it would have taken 15-20 minutes to get home instead of over an hour and a half.

Ahhh, I get it. We don't have traffic like that here.

I'm surprised they have traffic like that in Utah. Don't all of the Mormon boys just ride their bicycles?

I thought that the sign said that long haired freaky people need not apply.
