Also, I'd prefer Discord over Mumble (if only because I've long uninstalled Mumble) since I already have it and Discord doesn't actually require installing any software if you don't want to

I understand that all of you guys are pretty much in the opposite situation from me, though, so I won't push it

Discord is a remarkably good service. I don't really have a horse in the race, I'm happy to just use the in-game voice which is very good. But I've been incredibly impressed with how effortless and reliable Discord is with other folks I've gamed with.

I'd be open to trying discord. As long as it's not Skype, I'm easy like Sunday morning.

I feel like I should maybe get this game. But then I feel like I'm already behind the power curve and might as well just forget it.

It's basically just Mumble except newer and better (IMO. I can't think of anything that Mumble offers as an advantage)

If you guys want, I could quickly spawn a CoG server unless someone already made one

I made one just to see how easy it was, but man, it was too easy, and I was like "wait I don't want this power" so I deleted it.

So sure, yeah, spin one up.

The game's been out for two days and people already found an unbalanced unfair tactic.

It's cheating I say! Hit it with the Nerf hammer!

That only works against noobs. The turrets practically have only 1 health hell one junkrat charge would fuck that thing up or a sweep of mei's freeze gun.
Then there's the rein + bastion combo.
The tolbjorn + bastion + rein combo and the answer to that is genji or junkrat.

They said in the video that one flash-bang destroys em all. I'm just amazed those people in the video kept running in like lemmings.

Let's just say that's a lesson you only have to learn once.

I wouldn't use a flashbang on that. FB is precious and is the reason mCree is the counter pick to pretty much everyone. Probably inadvertently wipem out anyway if they stand in the doorway.

Oh FYI the Origins Edtion IMO is not worth it. I spent $20 extra and got a bunch of shit in games I don't play, and some extra skins I would have unlocked anyways. Bleh, I'm an idiot for not doing the research. Don't be an idiot like me! Buy the $40 version and unlock that shit!

There's nothing unbalanced or unfair about that. It's literally Symmetra's main role: Area denial. It also takes forever to set up and is extremely fragile. Great when it works but very balanced.

It is when you're using it against idiots and AI.

Edit: and here I was proud of level 5. That level 20 makes me feel less proud. But dat loot box tho.

Nice loot!

... meanwhile, I ended up having to break the siege line on our spawn as Lucio on Temple of Anubis. Managed to kick the defenders off A, but couldn't seal the deal on B.

I take small comfort in that it was almost certainly an organized squad who thumped us.

Hey, there is a valid tactical need for someone who sows chaos. It helps break up the enemy siege line. Sure, you may die, but you create the openings for your team.
