New Minecraft: Indie World Building Game

Since the old one got too big and closed down, reckon I'll start a new one for everyone to contribute their own build and servers, CoG or otherwise.

https://minecraft.net/

http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Minecraft_Wiki

Here are some of my builds I'm proud to have created with this game.

It sounded good until the "no swearing" bit.

Wow, I really am a function-over-form type builder. I don't think I've built anything that cool.

Olde is an artist, I can't compare with anything he does. Right now I'm just trying to teach my 7-year old nephew the ropes on Xbox One.

I was toying with the idea of another modded server. Anyone interested in this?

I have been itching to play Minecraft again for a while, but I know with mods I'll just get overwhelmed and quit in 2 days. Worth a try, though. Been a long ass time since I played at all.

Sporadically always. I don't get as much joy from Single Player since I just cheat things in to avoid the tedium of setting up.

I'm always up for MC. However, not to offend anyone, but the last server was having trouble running the modded program.

There are a number of public servers that could be invaded, are we up for that?

One of the channels I watch noted that they fixed a lot of issues by having people's chunkloaders stop working if they didn't log in for a few days, thus reducing congestion. I will completely admit that I would always neglect putting trashcans or voiding items on some of my builds and so shit would go everywhere (bad at tree farms). Hell, do we even want to mention my Magic Crops Diamond farms?

Also, being shit at Mystcraft.

I need to learn Big Reactors someday. The Endothermic pump = infinite lava can't be my go-to power source every time.

So, it seems like there is interest. Any thoughts on what mods we'd be up for?

I'd really rather not. It puts us at the mercy of whatever server we choose. Better would be to see if there are other servers available to us that we can control. I know Random and Biosc had chatted about servers in the past. Maybe there has been an upgrade since the last time we messed around with this?

It has been a while since I have been around. Got married and moved my Mom in with us so been a busy year or two. Things have settled down so I would be up for giving server play a go again. Just wish I could get my wife into Minecraft. Forgot to put that in the pre-nup that she had to play.....

Sweet, I'm glad to see there is so much interest. I took Mot up on his offer, so we can decide which mod pack we're interested in. I'll look at them tonight. If you have any opinions, share them here and let's discuss.

Unfortunately no upgrade. Life / work got really busy.

I will decommission it

Thanks again for helping out and the use of your server. It got poopy at times, but it was cool of you to let it be used.

At least something with the newest version of minecraft?

And I love my magic stuff, so Thaumcraft with TT, so I can work towards the KAMI tools (yaaaaay all the research ><), Botania, Blood magic, etc. Always wanted to build that Blood Magic altar using tanks of blood for the decorative blocks. And Witchery seems neat, too.

I have been playing a modpack called Wanderlust reloaded which has been very stable for me in singleplayer. I like the fact it has a decent sized quest book with over 250 quests to follow to guide you through mods. Its available on the FTB launcher as a third party pack.

http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/thre...la-rasa.52737/

I have also tried the Hubris pack which is a lot harder but also has a decent sized quest line. It does not seem as stable though but it has a more interesting storyline. May be better as SP.

http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/thre...-listed.79259/

On the ATlauncher I have been trying the Solitary pack with all mods enabled. This pack was taken over by a Husband and Wife team and they have been working on a pretty nice server questpack for the mods. A little more hardcore than Wanderlust.

https://www.atlauncher.com/pack/SolitaryCraft

On the Technic launcher I like the 1.7.10 modpack which has been very stable for me and I have tried a few public servers of. Public servers are not for me . This pack was my mainstay for SP until I started Wanderlust for the quests.

http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums...od-pack-for-mc

Just some packs I have tried and liked, there are quite a few more I would like to try.
