Also a new Broken Sword FINALLY.
I'm very curious about Chains Of Satinav. It looks really neat.

As for Broken Sword, I loved the first two or three but once it went 3D, it lost something. I havent played the latest one though, so hopefully it was just the third or fourth that rubbed me the wrong way.

If nothing else, this new house is going to force me to actually play the games I own since I won't have any money left for anything else.

Every time I see The Dark Eye I think of Drakensang.

Its going back to 2d! Yes sir. They announced that as well.
Chains is great. Not a bad game for the price and a unique storyline. I am getting back into point and click games hard core. So much so that I used a login program to play the PC version while I was at work on my Samsung Tablet 10.1. It actually worked surprisingly well. Amazingly well actually. It was my own little version of onlive.

Agreed. I had to check the name like 3 times when I began the game because its right next to the icons for both Drakensang games

Woo hoo!

Also, is this new Dark Eye game any relation to the really old Dark Eye game from the late 90s?

IN a way

Quote from their site

Quote:
With a history of more than 25 years, The Dark Eye is one of Europe's best-known role-playing brands. In addition to the popular pen & paper adventures, TDE has also inspired a series of successful computer games. The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav immerses players deep in the world of Aventuria, where they experience an amazing story and explore lands never before featured in a TDE computer game.

In Andergast, whose inhabitants are considered to be notoriously superstitious, King Efferdan awaits a state visit from high-ranking dignitaries. For centuries the kingdom has been at odds with neighboring Nostria, but now first steps are being undertaken toward a lasting peace. But a plague of crows troubles the king, for the birds are acting with unusual aggressiveness, even attacking humans. Moreover, there are those among the citizens of Andergast who swear that the crows are bringing them dark nightmares. As the belligerent creatures infiltrate even the castle itself, the king seeks a skilled bird catcher - an opportunity for young Geron to prove that the reputation for ill luck that has followed him since childhood is undeserved. Following an audience with the king, the prestigious task is assigned to him. However, not only does his task prove unexpectedly difficult, but it also turns out to be the first step of the greatest adventure of his life, which will lead him to the borders of the charted lands of Aventuria and beyond.

I just packed up my old cd-rom of The Dark Eye from many moons ago and it's reminded me that there was a reason that Chains Of Satinav sounded familiar. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a price drop sometime. It certainly looks neat.

I ordered the Ultimate Genesis Collection for my girlfriend, and Persona 4 happened to make its way into my cart at the same time. I wonder if I have made a mistake.

Been playing The Secret World free weekend, but not as much as I would have liked. Still, it may have been enough to get me to buy in for a while.

I've been back to playing Bad Company 2... the wife got a little obsessed with Super Mario Brothers 3 today in the classic gaming room of the house:

Usually once a year, although I've been working on bumping that up in the future.
