I think it is a good idea. The Vita needs to begin seriously engaging the community and the press if the want to turn things around. Just having games isn't working, people already have it in their mind that it is a failed platform.

It's always kind of saddening how that perception has become the norm. It's such a nice piece of tech and there are a lot of good games on it, not to mention how nice stuff looks on Netflix when you watch animated stuff on it. Not to mention PS+ and the cross-buy functionality is so nice.

I'm glad that Sony seems to be pushing it with the PS4 and hopefully it'll get a second wind. They have nobody but themselves to blame for how poorly it has done given that they barely promoted or spoke of the system after it was released last year!

Maybe I was wrong about Dragon's Crown being crossbuy... I'm really not sure anymore. Honestly, if it isn't I may just give it a pass, I hate the art style and I have been really let down by most of the beat'um ups I've bought this generation.

Dragon's Crown isn't Cross Buy, and it's way overpriced on both. My interest went away entirely with the announcement of the price and no Cross Buy.

In better news, the first episode of the Vita exclusive adventure game Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery hits today for $2.99. Definitely worth trying out for that price.

Also, there's the first MIND≒0 trailer:

The trailer starts showing gameplay a bit over halfway through, it looks like it's shaping up pretty well. The dungeon exploration is first person, so more like the first two Persona games. Hopefully we'll see it over here at some point.

Grr. I paid whatever the sale price was a little while ago and haven't played much more than the opening levels.

And man... as much as I love Vanillaware, not having Dragon's Crown be cross-buy means I'll just wait for a price drop on one or both versions.

Knytt is really good, I've been playing it a bit over the past week and it's quite a bit of fun. Some very challenging platforming too.

Well... that was cool. I don't know what the fuck it is, but it looks cool.

EDIT: Some people are saying it might be called Panopticon. I'm guessing we'll find out what the hell it is at E3, apparently there are supposed to be some big Vita announcements.

More weird shit:

EDIT: Apparently the stuff on the chalk board at the end is a list of games, this is a partial list maybe: Soul Sacrifice, Phantasy Star Online 2, Toukiden, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace and Gods Eater 2. Mostly Monster Hunter-style games. The last thing on the list may be a reference to Panopticon.

Official website: http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/panopticon/

Announcement on the 21st?

EDIT: That is also the announcement date of the new XBOX. Probably not a coincidence. I take it Sony is going to try to rain on Microsoft's parade?
