2000 was fantastic. It was an OS that enabled you to get stuff done, and then got out of the way. Ever since 2000 I feel like OS' have become more like Fischer Price.

Windows 2000 was the start of them hiding options within drop down menus, thinking that was a good design. Ughhhhh

I'm not. For the longest time, OS manufacturers wanted things to be easier so that people didn't have to think - thus the no file extensions. Not saying it's right (it's horrible for security alone), but I get why they stopped.
