What Could Microsoft's Major Announcement Be?

2000 was fantastic. It was an OS that enabled you to get stuff done, and then got out of the way. Ever since 2000 I feel like OS' have become more like Fischer Price.

You are right. That was awful, but you could still turn it off.

I'm still baffled that Windows hides file extensions By Default!

I'm not. For the longest time, OS manufacturers wanted things to be easier so that people didn't have to think - thus the no file extensions. Not saying it's right (it's horrible for security alone), but I get why they stopped.
