In the recent Nerdist podcast interview with Gabe Newell, he mentions that they are currently working on a 15-minute TF2 video in Source Filmmaker.

I logged in from my laptop last night. It's a little slow and the frame rate wasn't the best but I think that more has to do with the age of my laptop than anything else. I believe I got similar performance out of Windows 7.

We haven't had a proper TF2 Thursday since Februrary, people stopped showing up :/ I don't blame them, really. There hasn't been any real new TF2 content in awhile.

The game is still very enjoyable but yes, some of the more recent releases in gaming have overshadowed it a bit.
