New classic gaming room setup

With a blessing from the future wife she thought it was a good idea to set up a classic gaming section in the new house. I have a 2600 but couldn't find the space for it and I'm missing stuff like a TG16, Jaguar, and 3DO which I sold years ago. Will find my Sega CD and have to buy a new 32X but it is a good start.

All this stuff has been my storage for years. I have sold off anything that was worth money like my CDX. I haven't hooked up the PS2 but have a feeling it is borked with a DRE and unusable.

Those early PS2s are junk...

Anyone ever have memory cards for N64 do screwy stuff? I honestly don't know if that was something they were known for...but I know for sure my old Rogue Squadron files, and Zelda were just all gone when I last messed with it a few years ago.

also don't even bother with the 32X. They came with these obnoxious metal shield things that you had to insert into the Genesis. Pain in the ass. Also...it only had one good game. Shadow Squadron.

otherwise, I would smile ear to ear if I walked in and saw this in someone's house.

What's the controller on the bottom right that looks like a Millenium Falcon with buttons on it? The one right above the SNES controllers.

Sega Saturn, I think.

When I look at that picture, it's the SNES that I want to fire up above all the others. The SNES with a copy of... Secret of Mana. Not sure what that says about me.

When I look at an SNES, I see SimCity and Super Mario World.

When I see the Saturn, I think All-Star Hockey and Tomb Raider.

Man...when I do home renovations in the next few years, I'm definitely going to slip in a secret classic gaming room. My wife isn't that spatially aware...she'll never notice!

Be sure to hide the access switch in a bust of Miyamoto.

PM me if you want to replace that missing TG16. I've got one and I'm getting rid of my collection.

God that picture really makes me wish I didn't sell off or donate my old consoles. I had nearly everything in that picture at one point or another.

Eh, I don't think that either Zelda game used the N64 memory card... very few things did, since carts could be built with internal storage. In fact, doing a quick search on Wikipedia, Rogue Squadron didn't seem to use it either. Maybe you're confusing the memory card with the memory expansion (which is RAM, not ROM, and doesn't save jack to begin with)?

Thats the analog NiGHTS controller. They were black in the US but that one is white cause it is a Japanese version I picked up on a visit to Japan.

If you lived near you could just come over and have a beer and play. No murdering needed. Oh, and she is a champ in the kitchen.

No joke, my 21 year old nephew's very first word was "Sega".
