If so, that's all I wanted to know.

Given that Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is over 17,000+ blocks, I was wondering if New Leaf would've been weighty. New Leaf is something I want digitally.

Like the DSi/XL before it, the highest capacity the 3DS can accept is 32 GB.

I also have a link in the OP in which you can supposedly format and have the handheld recognize higher-capacity SD cards it normally wouldn't. I remember an old GoNintendo news post in which someone sent a pic in which they had a 140 GB recognized in their system.

I've already got the eShop credit in the chamber, ready for Animal Crossing the moment it's available.

Oh yeah. I'm in.

Animal Crosssing isn't a game. It is a lifestyle.

Fucking YEP. Animal crossing occupies a special niche: I buy every iteration, no questions asked.

What are the social aspects like in AC nowadays? I'll probably get it either way, but if I can start collecting y'all's friend codes and do crazy cool things with people, I'm definitely in.

Also, what's a guy to do if seemingly no one else in the greater Austin area seems to take their 3DSs with them? I have a grand total of one actual streetpass friend, who I apparently found on an airplane a couple months back.

I haven't had a chance to really experience any social stuff in AC yet, since most people don't have it. I've found a few people to play online with, but haven't managed to make it actually happen yet.

But from what I gather, it's very similar to Wide World and City Folk, which is to say that if you're on each other's friends lists, you can open up your city gates and have folks wander into your town.

Anyways, should we start up another thread for Animal Crossing?

Start one up. It'll give everyone a central place to meet up and organize stuff at.
