CoG Wii and DS Friend Code database

We're all quite well aware of how cumbersome the Nintendo friend code system is. This is my attempt to take at least a minor amount of pain out of the process.

My old EvAv Smash Bros. Brawl code exchange database has been ported over and heavily streamlined for us to use for any and all necessary friend code exchanges. If you already had your code entered in the old database, it should still exist in this database.

Using the database is quite easy!
  1. Go here: http://creator.zoho.com/colonyofgamers/codes
  2. Click the "Code Entry Form" link at the top to create a new entry.
  3. Fill in your CoG username.
  4. Check either "Wii" or "DS" depending on the particular code you are entering.
  5. When you select a system, a list will magically appear that will contain either Wii games or DS games (depending on your selection). Pick the game that corresponds with the code you are entering. Some games might be missing! Let me know, and I can get them added.
  6. Click "Submit". You're done!
There are a couple of handy views for looking at everyone's codes. They are organized by CoG username in one view, and then the codes are split between Wii games and DS games in a couple of other views.

If you have any issues, please let me know. And be sure to let someone know when you've added their codes to your games. Feel free to use this thread for any sort of code exchange coordinating purposes, and also to complain about my pathetic database.

Enjoy!

I done got me my Pokemon code added. I don't know how much I'll be using it until the 10th next month when I can get more properly situated, but it's in there. Plus, I seem to be the only Pokemonner on there so far.

Also, shouldn't this thread be in Matchmaking Square? That's where I went looking first.

Probably. But this forum is where the Gametag and PSN ID threads are, so I thought it appropriate to put it here. I may duplicate the post in Matchmaking, just to be sure.

Friend code exchanges require a lot of coordination of efforts, much more so than Gamertags and PSN IDs, and is usually only done when two or more people are actively looking to play a game together. Might make more sense in Matchmaking than anywhere else.

I'm new to the DS - where do I find these elusive 'codes?'

The place is different for each game. Usually it's tucked somewhere inside the WiFi connection settings area.

I have ditifully registered all my friend codes for Pokemon Diamond, Shiren the Wanderer, and Days of Ruin.

Now more people need to do the same, because my friends list is looking seriously vacant!

I no longer own Days of Ruin or Shiren the Wanderer, but there doesn't seem to be any way of removing them from the list.

You no longer own Advance Wars? I never got to play against you.

I deleted the entries from the database. It took a bit longer to do it since it was hard to see the buttons through the tears.

Sorry man. I just found the game overall rather lackluster. The AI cheats too much for skirmishes to be fun, and the campaign was just staggeringly boring. It fell victim to the "I haven't even put this in my system in like a month, why do I still have it" syndrome.

I really ought to update this thing with my current stuff, though it's not like it matters, I almost never play anything online with my DS short of trading Pokemon with Ancalagon.

I actually no longer even have any of the games I originally registered on the database.

We could use The Conduit added to the list of Wii games available for code entry.

Added, sir.

Any other recent WiFi games I need to include while I'm at it?

If anyone is still interested in SSBB, let me know. I could use some sparring partners.
