Screw it, both this and Nier seem to be stellar games, I'm buying both.

Dammit, you had to say that. Now I may have to buy it and play.

This used to be a wonderfully dead time of year when I could save up a little.

Watched the Intro yesterday, it looks great! Hopefully I can play tonight.

It gets the angry red Wolvie seal of quality. Buy it!

Also, just throwing this out there... I'd say this is somewhere in the ballpark of The Witcher 3. Not saying it's just as good, but it feels like it's somewhere in the same league.

Dude, that was me last year. I literally could not say no to any of the new releases. Then Mirrors Edge Catalyst infected my computer and I then figured out I had a problem and put myself on a spending freeze. Just say no to buying crappy games!

I would agree. I was sitting on a horse, slowly trotting around, and thought to myself...this feels like The Witcher 3!

Just got a Strider myself! This game is like a Christmas gift. But inside are even more gifts you weren't expecting. I mean...

Being able to tame robotic animals? HOLY SHIT AWESOME!

March is the new november for me. Mostly november is pew pew territory, first half of the year usually brings the really awesome stuff last few years.

So yes, gotta catch em ALL!

Man this game is pretty, except the characters though, they're kinda out there at times, animation wise when talking. I think they're robots too. But heck, those dino's!

Its also a lot more expansive and stealthy than I thought.

Yeah that's the games one weak point; stiff character facial animation. It's not bad, but it makes the voice acting feel off too.

Man, I'm loving this game, I wish I had more time to play it. I'm just about to do the ritual in the village. My one complaint: is there anywhere ingame with a key to what the different stats on weapons/armor represent? I'm feeling lost when I look at gear at the vendors not knowing what the hell to look for.

This game is spectacular. This is probably my favorite new IP of the past decade. It's a great open world game, with sort of a Witcher-lite feel to a lot of the encounters.

Also, Guerrilla is now neck in neck with Naughty Dog for technical wizardry on a console. This game looks amazing and even with a stock PS4 it stays locked at 30 fps.

I was sort of hand wringing about playing Zelda on my WiiU or waiting until I get a Switch and that does not even register anymore...I probably won't touch another game until I've wrung out every last side quest and collectible in this game.

(this game *needs* some form of camera lock, or just better camera AI)

I cannot recommend this game enough if you like open world games, even just occasionally. It's something special.

Camera was my biggest gripe with the game. I think they could have alleviated the need for a lock if they just pulled back a little. I'm not a fan of third person games where the main character takes up almost a quarter of the screen. Pull back a little so I can see what's going on around me and the camera won't be such a big deal.

Yeah, while I do dig the concept of the camera pulling in super tight when you go stealth (to sort of balance and add immersion to stealth mode) I do think the camera outside of stealth is a little tight.

When you look at the little demo movies for the weapons, the way the camera moves in those is great, but trying to recreate that manually is a pain in the ass.

I get why camera locking might not be the answer, since you regularly fight 2+ medium to large mechs, but it still feels like I'm baby sitting the camera too much in a tense fight. Then again the difficultly of even stock medium mechs sort of brings that Witcher element into it...there's a *lot* of payoff to good, pre-pull prep.

I notice last night that there's an audio queue that matches the red-eye, pre-attack flash, so maybe if I just pay more attention to that, I can blind dodge more attacks.

Killzone looked good, but controlled like crap (in my opinion). This game looks great and controls great (so far). I'm not a great console bow user, but being able to jump, slow mo aim, and one shot a watcher in the eye is a great experience.

Yah, I was caught off guard by how fast you can die in this game if you are caught off guard / chew off more than you can handle. It's good though because the reload times are quick and it makes me tackle a fight a different way.

Watched a stream of it and it looked really good. Would be a definite purchase for me if I actually owned a PS4
