Yah, this looked great. A system seller for sure (in my mind).

Yes yes yesssssss.

That last shot of the Master Sword grove will never not work for me. I LOVE that we've gotten to a tech level and that they've gone with an art style that allows it to look pretty much just like the illustrations from Link to the Past, come to life.

Agreed. If I wasn't already gonna buy an NX, because Nintendo, this would have done it.

This will be a simultaneous release for both WiiU/NX. I don't know the exact release date other than 2017, barring any unforseen delays.

The Legend of Zelda WiiU

Goddammit. Just when I resigned myself to being a two-console household.

Having now seen the new trailer, I kinda don't want to know anything more about it until we know something about the NX. It feels past time for them to start talking about what the hell that thing is going to be.

How non-linear is Breath of the Wild? You can head straight to the finale from jump: (Zelda Universe)

Quote:
Series producer Eiji Aonuma does not recommend this method of completion as it is not possible to receive the full experience of the game. However, he also stated that “Whether you want to reveal the storyline and find out why Link woke up, or you want to just go straight to the goal, that’s an option totally up to the user.”

I hope it's a chronological sequel to the the original. My brother is a Zelda freak, and he says it is a straight up remake.

This does look fantastic.

I have thoughts that the "Old Man" is the "King of Hyrule" in diguise. Regardless, it's nice to have one more title to justify my Wii-U purchase, because it has indeed paid it's way through my enjoyment. Icing on the cake.

During a recent IGN interview, Eiji Aonuma confirmed that the WiiU version of Breath of the Wild will run at 720p, and the Switch version at 1080p, while both will run at the same framerate.

Aonuma specifically mentions that because the Switch version is on a game card, compared to its disc-based alternative, the game will load much faster as it pulls data from the cartridge.

And with this, I believe I'll go with the Switch version. 😁

Edit: On the game's japanese website, the WiiU version is 13GB, and the Switch version is 13.4GB.

I think I'll settle on the WiiU version since Nintendo consoles are wasted on me and I'm trying to be more responsible. I look forward to playing, but the animation seems kind of dated for such a beautiful game.
