Just 5 or 10? Did you revoke his Wii license?
I need this game like I need oxygen.

Well, my son has his own save file to piddle around on. This is just those times when I left the game on while changing the baby's diaper or something and he had some fun.

"I killed you dad! ha ha ha"

So... how do you check this? I thought I knew, but then when I checked, the thing I had been seeing out of the corner of my eye was just the timestamp of my last save.

There should be a message on your calendar on the day that you got 100% completion.

The best thing about this game is that you can go a couple weeks without playing it, pick it up, and get back into it almost instantly. No need to remember how to play, where you are, or anything like that.

A little over 35 1/2 hours apparently. I guess I got more out of the game than TFO.

So, going back to the difficulty comparison. I really think there is a lot that was harder in the original galaxy. It had nothing that touches the perfect run, though.

My wife has suddenly started playing Mario Galaxy 2 again, which has lead me to take up the controller a bit myself. I've been redoing some stuff including finishing the Perfect Run again, which felt pretty awesome.

It made me wonder how many people ended up finishing the entire thing.

I started out being thorough in every galaxy, but around halfway through, I just did what I had to do to beat the story. I've been wanting to go back and collect all the stars for quite some time now. You are making these feelings rise up once again. It sort of tickles. Stop it!

I shall not stop it!

Beating Mario Galaxy to get through the story is like rushing through and eating half of your steak dinner to see what the receipt looks like... or something.

I agree. I'm also notorious for having gamer ADD. Completing a game has become as foreign to me as......well.....some sort of foreign analogy! I think my 2011 New Years resolution is going to be DRASTICALLY limiting the number of games I buy/rent.

Anybody know if you can "pause" your Gamefly account? I've been a member for so long that I would hate to be forced to cancel it.

Heh, that makes sense. I suppose it feels better to at least see some credits roll before switching to another game, rather than just quit at some arbitrary point.

It is the Mario tradition to have shortcuts for the plebs and and having the difficult path for the hardcore. I am one of the plebs. It is still easier than any of the 3D Marios.

I guess I don't remember how hard it was to see the end credits. It was pretty darn easy in Super Mario Galaxy, (and I'm sure this one as well.) The final star is one of the hardest gaming feats I've ever done, though.
