Hearing if you stick to the story it's a less than 10hr game and lo and behold this game has a season pass...

Not the gameplay ending, but one of the ending cutscenes. The one with the bros.

I think I checked out at the cup noodles bit. I couldn't find it, but I would almost bet there's a special "behemoth" flavor out in Japan right now.

I think what made me say no is the summon system is back to 12's 'must meet x conditions' and it will happen at random.

What the fuck is the point. It's like they forgot why the fuck we liked the esper/summon system in the goddamn first place.

And in case you forgot. BECAUSE IT IS FUCKING COOL AS HELL! You meet up with some huge goddamn size of a mountain black bird that is attacking you, you summon a mega ultra black hole space dragon that is focusing the power of a thousand dead stars on its mega fucked head. Fuck the planet!

yeah that was pretty good. although the poignancy of the photos at the end credits was lightened a little bit when an ass shot of gladio prompto took popped up.

I could never figure out how the summons worked in xv Id have the l2 button clamped down the entire time the promp came up and nothing would happen. I just assumed it was scripted. I never saw the prompt in random battles

I've got about 25 hours of play time in already and still haven't completed chapter 3. Definitely enjoying the game so far.

I've been enjoying it until a few hours ago when I randomly stopped being able to warp-strike. it's really fucking up the combat system for me.

EDIT: It's working now after rebooting the PS4. That was odd.

I've spent an awful lot of time in Chapter 3... Probably too much. Noctis is... Overlevelled. The completionist in me does not jibe with the side-mission structure or the fact that loads of dungeons are just waiting to be explored. That said, it is pretty great!

Take comfort that most, but not all of the dungeons need to be explored to do either side quest or main mission stuff, so there is no need to jump right into them.

I think if you get hit while holding it, the wind-up is interrupted. . . but yeah, I hate how they did summons too. Also, I've only seen the Ramuh summon in my actual games. I had Carbuncle from the demo too, so. . . well, it's annoying.

I don't usually play Final Fantasy, but I've played XV for 63 hours as of my last save...

I really like this game. I switch off between wanting to really bang through plot stuff and really dig into side quests...I usually get to the point where I'm a few levels above the plot, then play until I'm a few levels under the side quests.

My one beef with the narrative is that you really can't tell when the game expects you to play quests, so I end up thinking a plot quest will take forever and it just takes me around the corner before stopping

I'm Level 51-52 and am finally about to leave Chapter 3. I suspect I'm playing it wrong, but I'm enjoying myself. A lot. I'll of course be kicking myself once I realize all the cool powers I've delayed getting by slogging through all the sidequests.

Yeah, thats my biggest gripe, no clue when to move somewhere. I think I need chocobos to get to the waterfall? Which means behemoth?

I was really gripped when doing the open world stuff in Chapter 3, but it gets insanely linear as things progress and they never really do a great job of presenting the story. It's there, but really disjointed and underdeveloped. Still enjoyable, and I'm debating finishing the last few things off to get the Platinum Trophy. But in a lot of ways it reminds me of the original Assassin's Creed, in that the bones are there but the execution / presentation is off.

Hopefully the DLC helps smooth some of the rougher edges, and I want to see how good it can look on PC.

Just did Leviathan, a lot of people seem to hate it but man, that hit my right notes. Epic.

I haven't put a lot of time into this (like 3 hours), but it's a very strange game. Just driving around, fighting odd creatures, camping, and eating weirdly realistic-looking food.

I'm not complaining.
