Wow. Shovel Knight has slaughtered their stretch goals by passing $200k.

I'm gonna think about it. I'd LOVE this game, and 15 seems reasonable. But the problem is which platform would I choose for it?!

With all those stretch goals extending the content I dropped $10 for a Steam version.

Game Grumps recently previewed Shovel Knight.

You can really see the Mega Man influences in that video.

I've put in $60 and I am really hoping they reach $300k. Also, if you haven't seen it, TBFP played a bit of it as well!

Funded by way more than they needed, and all stretch goals met.

What's that people keep saying about only big name projects getting funded?

I didn't back it, but I'm super glad they made their goals.

Totally stoked about this. I changed my pledge 3 times during the run, from $10 to $50 to $60. I'm really happy to see not only did they get more than they needed, they built on all kinds of goals that benefit anyone who plays the game in the end.

Heads up: Today is the last day to purchase Shovel Knight for $9.99 (it's currently $5 off), before they update to the Treasure Trove edition. If you purchase it now, you will be upgraded to the Treasure Trove version once it releases (later today) at no extra cost.

The Treasure Trove version will have access to all current and future campaign releases (Shovel Knight, Plague Knight, and later today: Specter Knight). However, Treasure Trove will be sold for $25 going forward, while each campaign can be purchased separately for $10 each.

Basically, if you have an interest in the game, buy it now. I'm not sure what time the deal ends and Treasure Trove releases, but probably very soon.

So if the base price becomes $10 for the first campaign/original game, does that mean it will finally EVER go below $10 in future Steam sales?

I mean, maybe, but if you won't drop a ten spot on the embarrassment of riches that is Shovel Knight, you are a monster.

Keck. Listen to reason. Shovel Knight is awesome, and well worth $10.

All right. Fine. Their little plan worked. I have purchased their, by all accounts, amazing game with ongoing support and free expansions for $10. Heaven help me.

Holy cow. From the time I clicked on Add to Cart on the Playstation store it went from $10.04 to $14.99. On steam it says the offer is still good for another 38 minutes.

Possibly my favorite Keck post ever.

Also, enjoy the excellence that is Shovel Knight!
