But it is a lot of fun, you're right on that, Jacob.
There is a singleplayer mode, although from what I've heard it was pretty short in the first one. There's also local multiplayer, which would be fun with friends. Hopefully the online (and the game as a whole) has a lot more depth and modes.

Right now I'm leaning strongly towards a buy, but part of that will depend on the details of Nintendo's online service. I'm certainly not paying a monthly fee just to play one game.

Edit - I really like the visuals and music, by the way. It has a fun modern urban feel that I haven't seen in any other Nintendo game. It reminded me a bit of Jet Set Radio.

So what's the consensus on Super Bomber Man R and 1-2-Switch? I got those via trade-in yesterday for MP goodness with the kiddos. Hopefully they are worth it.

My boyfriend bought Super Bomberman R, but neither of us was very impressed with it, so he traded it back in. YMMV, of course. It felt very shallow.

Bomberman is Bomberman. If you've played one, you've played them all.

Huh, well luckily these games aren't too old. I can get almost enough credit for a new game out of them if they don't make and the kiddos happy.

CEO of GameStop doesn't see an end in shortages any time soon. This thing is expected to be in short supply though 2017. So, uh yeah you are right, this thing is a hit.

My advice: either get one of those bundle deals or wait till the rush to get the shiny new thing blows over... Could be awhile though.

I think I mentioned it here but I was able to get one for about $50 over retail by just going to Craigslist. I don't know if those prices are still gonna be in that range, but I bet there are still people selling, if only because when they do come back in stock, folks who re-sell for money are snatching them up quick.

Does that suck? Kinda. Would I rather have paid $50 extra to have it than well over $100 extra for a bundle with stuff I don't want and would need to try to re-sell? Yup.

Amazon is a good idea too. Prices of pre-owned on that site are now just above retail. I didn't do that because Amazon can be a risk of getting scammed like eBay.
