Warlock: Master of the Arcane Demo Now Available

The next installment in the Majesty series - Warlock: Master of the Arcane - is now available for pre-order on Steam. And to celebrate they've released a demo. How thoughtful of them. I generally love turn-based strategy games, so I'm excited to tear into the demo later today.

Anyone who pre-orders Warlock will get the 'Powerful Lords DLC', which adds two powerful lords to the game.

I'll allow it!

Also, I'll be downloading it. Curious how it plays out. We need Ghostbear in here telling us how the full one is.

I quite like these turn based games, but I *much* prefer fantasy settings. Hence games like civ, while enjoyable, don't hold much more appeal to me.

Read that as "Powerful Loads DLC" and thought it was awfully cheeky. I really need to read more carefully in the morning.

"Yessir, the check is in the mail."

I just couldn't get over the awful Sean Connery narration.

I've been playing a preview copy. (review forthcoming) It's a streamlined Civ game and I am having a good time with it.

Looks very cool, and the thick Connery narration was weird.

Also, only $20 at launch, which I found surprising.

Wasn't Majesty real-time instead of turn-based?

Yes. Beyond setting, this has nothing in common w/ Majesty.
