I was trying to confirm if Twin stick controls were possible in the KI:U thread, but after searching a few reviews I'm pretty sure it's touchpad only, which seems a bit rubbish considering how long ago the CCP was released and Kid Icarus came out. This could have been an excellent option to show what the extra slider could do.

I'd still like to give this a go, perhaps using the old DS Phat nub on the thumb to see if that gives me a close approximation to twin stick controls.

Oops, didn't realise there was a KU thread.

That's a good idea about the nub, I actually found that worked really well back in Mario 64 DS and that was my preferred control scheme in Hunters, too. My nub is back in Australia, unfortunately, maybe I can dig a new one out in a used shop somewhere...

EDIT: And yeah, it's completely rubbish that twin sticks doesn't work because the CCP actually DOES WORK in this game, just not in a twin stick configuration.

I'm still on the fence about Kid Icarus. It seems to be reviewing well despite the issues with the conrtols. Supposedly you get used to them over time, but it does seem silly to me that they have an accessory that lets you use two analog sticks, and made a conscious decision to NOT let you do that.

For those who have been keeping track of the title, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy has been announced for both Europe and North America. (Nintendo Everything)

That's really nice! I haven't found my comfort level yet like I had with original Colors and its pseudo-pressure sensitivity. I love the layers feature though.

Thanks Bone. This is only my 2nd drawing in colors. The first was a whale and a bowl of petunias.

That's really neat. But it's not out here yet.

Can you send pictures to other people or is it strictly for your own amusement?

Well, you can upload images you draw straight to the Colors web site from within the App. You can also export your images in 3D & 2D. 3D exports can be viewed in the 3DS' Camera app. You can also send those images via Swap Note.

It also has a 'Draw With Friends" feature. I haven't tried it, but I think it lets you draw on the same canvas with multiple people.

New update due for the system next week which will add patch support for games and allow folders to clean up your desktop.

Despite initially claims that there were no plans to address the issue, Nintendo are now saying one of the first patches will be to get rid of the shortcut issues present on one for the tracks which made online competitive play a bit rubbish.

I got a notification that new puzzles are available.

Not that I'll ever finish the puzzles. Here in India I only know one person with a 3DS, so there isn't much chance of spot-passing.

I've been messing with colours a bit this afternoon. Really just to get a feel for the controls and brushes.I'll probably much about with the depth layers a little bit before I actually make any serious attempts.

Some of the stuff in the online gallery is just mind-blowing.

Very excited about the folders. I have a ton of crap on my home screen now, and I would really like to clean it up.

I am actually very displeased with them implementing the ability to patch games.

If Nintendo, perhaps the most perfectionist of all developers, can have game-breaking bugs in two of their biggest releases in the past 12 months, then it's time for them to allow for patching.
