You guys can thank me if she joins us. I called her late last night (2am here, midnight in San Francisco) as I was walking home from a party. I told her all about our trip, and she was really excited.
Rini, you have no idea how ecstatic I will be if you and Joey join us in NYC.

I know just how you feel. I was so excited last night that I barely slept a wink.
I don't think I will sleep at all next weekend.

Subways run all night long, but if you're landing at JFK you're better off just getting a cab. It'll be around $30 plus tip.

take the AirTrain to Jamaica and get on the J or Z train towards Brooklyn. Get off at Gates Ave & you'll be 2 blocks away from your destination

They Might Be Giants are playing a free show outside of the Princeton Public Library at 6 PM on Saturday in honor of Record Store Day. I'd be up for checking it out. Anyone else?

Hells yeah! Last time I saw TMBG was at a free concert at Georgia Tech. Happened across it by chance as I was walking back from a pub.

*sigh*. The airtrain is what you rural types would call a "horseless steam carriage". It runs from Idlewild Dirigble Field to Jamaica train station. You give the carriage wizard a few schillings and he'll get you to another train, which will get you to Brucklyn, or as the non-Dutch now call it, Brooklyn.
BTW, Jamaica, Queens had that name before the island of Jamaica.

Listen, smart ass, I know all about your fancy "air trains" in New York. I read about them in the newspaper before going out to milk the cows.

Well ladies and gentlemen, it's official. I will be dry as a fucking bone next weekend. Tomorrow I start my 10 day cleanse.
I'm sorry to be the sober guy. But I need to detox. I can't explain the massive amounts of drinking, etc I have done for the past few months. Just this past weekend I didn't get home until 5/6 in the morning yesterday and today and have serious blackout moments both nights. There are photos of me doing shit that I have no memory of. Anyway, after a few months of this my body is in a serious funk physically. And right now with my life schedule it is the perfect time for me to do this. I had talked about doing this with the missus for a while and it works out perfectly. Just perfectly. So I am afraid I will be only semi-apeshit with you all, not full-on retard. I only mention this to prepare you when I ask for an herbal tea and nothing else at brunch/lunch/dinner. I don't want you to think I'm...well...on of those gay fellas.

We all know you are the queerest straight man alive, Civil. No worries there.
You'll be able to keep the rest of us in line. I'll be too giddy over all the awesome people in attendance to even think about keeping myself in line.
