I was looking to go wireless. Cables just get in the way. I almost pulled my Vita off my desk trying to answer the phone. They get tangled. (bleh) So I was scouting bluetooth headset and were leaning torwards these. For $30 and a better rating there were probably the better choice, but I had a $10 off $50 coupon and points. So I got...

Grabbed a set of Plantronics BackBeat 903+ Headset.

For calls they kind of suck. Sounds like Mono, but stream music and games, they sound great. I'm not sure if there is lag with the Vita. I keep going back in forth on that. Seems like when I press a button, I'm not hearing the sync up sound. But my eyes are convinced it's all on the up and up. <shrug>

Little miffed they didn't come with adjustable earpieces. These actually feel spot on but still. Maybe I'd like the snugger fit of small plugs. They feel comfortable at first but I think I could see them getting bothersome. Tomorrow, I might just jam music from them to I'll see if it's an issue.

I'm curious to as how you'll find them over the long term. I've been interested in a wireless solution for audio for a while now but have always been concerned about the quality.

Well the media streaming is definitely Stereo. Step up from call audio. I'll let you know for sure at the end of the day but I almost stepped in the shower with them. I think I hit that "too comfortable" threshold. Had them on for about 45 minutes and forgot it seems. Ears weren't sore or anything afterwards.

I like the look of the earpieces. The round shape was never comfortable for me, except with silicone/gel housings. The jut-in earpiece on my Bluetooth Mic for my cell works fairly well. How's it feel for extended use?

Had them in for about 2 and a half hours and it's still not annoying or uncomfortable. They do get a loose over time from when you first plug them. Not in a bad way, but more like they try to adjust on their own to fit your ear. The little silicon earpiece part is still directed into my ear; so it's not really bad. I wish the silicon earpieces were a little bit more changeable though. I'd direct them downwards a click. Instead I just raise the whole headset to aim them that way.

My mom told me she could hear a little something when I had them cranked up yesterday. I imagine that's cause they aren't complete ear fuckers.

I'm getting a headache, but I don't think from these. Who know's though. More testing needed.

I just want something for DS/PSP and listening to podcasts on my iPod so stereo only for streaming wouldn't be an issue. Probably most concerned about comfort and any lag.

Part of me is thinking send this one back. I don't know if it's Bronson (movie on netflix) but I'm sure I am hearing a crack/pop in the right ear when the audio gets loud. Didn't hear it with music.

Oh, somehow I assumed it came with a bluetooth dongle.

I'm kind of impressed that the Vita connects with it out of the box, even though I shouldn't be. As for the 3DS, no, there is no bluetooth support.

For the 3DS you'd need some kind of bluetooth transmitter that can be used with any 3.5mm headphone jack.

Although, with a handheld system, I don't see the big deal with having a cable. It isn't like I'd be using the 3DS or Vita without looking at the screen.
