Borderlands 2 Getting DLC Character, CE
PAX East was held this past weekend and, unlike many previous PAXes, this one was a bit light on the announcements and reveals. One of the few notable ones came at the Gearbox Software panel, where a collector's edition and a DLC character were announced for Borderlands 2. The CE is actually cooler, but we'll begin with the DLC character. The Mechromancer is a cyborg who controls a "D374-TP (Deathtrap)" robot. Besides that and the above image we don't know much about how she plays. She will be made available as post-launch DLC, but a code for her will be included with pre-orders on the game. Borderlands 2 will also include new visual customization options, including changeable heads, gear and clothing options which can be acquired as loot in-game. Then there's the $149 collector's edition. It includes a bobblehead of arms dealer Marcus, and comes packed in a miniature loot chest from the game. Good to hear they're giving you a bit more cosmetic customization for the sequel. Always thought it odd that you'd have half a million guns, but only a couple of possible colour combinations for each character.
The extra class sounds pretty cool, but those CEs are stupid expensive. |

Those CEs are asinine, but I may preorder, I'm loving the first game. This may be one of the few games I buy when it comes out this year.

If a bobblehead and a special case are the only things included in the CEs then those prices are way too high.

I'm a huge fan of the first game, and eagerly await the second, but those CEs are WAAAAAAAAY too pricy for my tastes.
