I'm not worried about being able to run either game. I might not be able to max out Metro 2033, but I'm sure it would look nice on my computer.

Is Metro 2033 just a straight up FPS?

Yes, Metro 2033 is a FPS, but a rather good one. There are so few PC-focused FPS games these days.

It feels a lot like Stalker on rails, but I mean that in a good way.

That's what I thought. I've heard nothing but good things about the game, although straight up FPS games rarely grab me. :/

Thanks, Ghostbear. Picked up HOMM3 and played it all day, good times. I love games like that, just set the world to 'Random' and 'extra large' and fuck around til it's time for bed.

Steam
It's a Might and Magic spectacular this weekend. Might and Magic VI plus Clash of heroes are both 50% off.

Wargame: European Escalation is 40% off this weekend. Worth a look.

Cities in Motion is only $6.99 this weekend. Of note is that all the DLC is also discounted.

GoG
There is a massive list of Interplay titles on sale this weekend. Some of the best games from my past are there. Definitely recommended.

Xbox Live
Several pieces of Call of Duty DLC are half off at the moment.

Amazon
The PC version of Fable 3 is only $17.49, thanks for the tip Jayk47.

So far, just the tutorial. I like it and may try some of the scenarios, but it's a strictly transit simulator. You build stops for different kinds of transit around the city, connect the stops to form a line, put vehicles on the line and then let it go.

That's it.

Do you lay down tracks/subway lines? Or just handle routing on infrastructure that's already there?

Anything beyond bus/subway/train?

Bus, Subway, Train, Trams, Watercraft, and Helicopters. For the metro lines, be them elevated, ground, or underground, you lay the tracks. You don't build roads though, just means of transit on them.

The Darkness II is only $12.49 on Amazon. I loved the demo, so this is extremely tempting, even as I have The Witcher to still get through.

I actually got a free copy through Paradox for taking part in a survey. I got it just the other day, and I haven't had a chance to play it yet. I've heard it's fun though, if somewhat simple.
