So I went to restart ME1 last night. I've always played as Fem Shep. I decided to finally take the Male Shep for a spin. Holy crap are the customization options for his face awful. I ended up just selecting the default appearance. Yet, this feels wrong somehow.

The less you change, the better, in my opinion. Messing with the sliders a lot, especially when it comes to facial structure like the cheeks and jaw, is a recipe for disaster. I usually take one of the default faces and change things like hair, eye shape/color, nose, skin, etc. Things which change the basic look but don't radically alter anything.

As I recall, I originally tried to take a stock Shepard and tweak to my liking, but I just didn't like any of them. So I spent at least an hour back in ME1 trying to make a decent looking, original Shepard. Then I massaged the face again in ME2. Turned out ok, but it was a lot futzing.
Edit: That video is disturbing. I wouldn't be able to watch that LP.

Yeah, you can't trust the character preview. Some flaws won't show until the character is in cutscenes and talking.

I couldn't, but that intro. The dramatic music, the butt panning, then BAM Street Sharks! Gets me every time.

I love how that guy almost made a Salarian out of Shepard.

So seeing that LP and how horrible he made his Shepard look, gave me the idea of making an extremely ugly Shepard and playing through ME1 being inept bastard who somehow gets the job done. For once I'll probably play the game doing things that I as a person would normally not do.

At least you will know when you reach the end, nothing will have mattered anyway.

So, outside of DLC that effects the ending of Mass Effect 3, what kind of DLC would you like to see that takes place before you attack the Reapers at Earth?
Personally, I'd like to retake Omega. Aria lost it to Cerberus, and it would be great if they actually made her a temporary squadmate as you help her take it back. It'd also be the perfect place to have another multiplayer map. |

Omega does seem like a very logical place. I actually was expecting to take it back after talking to Aria, but nope.
Honestly, I don't really care. I doubt I'll be paying for anything. I never played the dlc for ME2 that wasn't free, and I don't see that changing for 3. |

Someone posted this on the Bioware forums. I don't agree with some of the choices, but I think it gets some right, too.
![]() Here's how I'd break it down:

You might be right. I feel like Garrus still has enough respect for laws that he can't be considered fully Chaotic. After all, in the beginning of ME3 you find him running his own task force under the supervision of the Turian military.

How... How on EARTH does anyone categorize the Reapers as anything but Lawful?
I'd consider Garrus to be the "Lawful Stupid" variant of LG if you think about him as struggling between his own personal code and that of the Citadel police. He sure abides by the laws of Omega quite nicely ;D |
