Comparing Uwe Boll to Bay is just asinine.

Fuck that, Bay is just a clearly more talented Booll in the Visual Effects directing department... in a sense that at the end of a Bay movie, you feel eye fucked. Their story telling? Probably on par.
And in 2009 Uwe Boll wrote and directed two movies that got in the 6/10 range on IMDB. Attack on Darfur and Rampage. Don't get me wrong, he's one of the worst directors out there, at least he was when he was first starting, but apparently, he's getting better. Bay directed only one movie that broke 7/10 on IMDB (relatively recently, I didn't go too far back), and that was one of the transformers movies. The other thing, 6/10 and 7/10 on IMDB, is fairly meaningless, but Rotten Tomatoes is a slow website and I was too lazy to do research on there.

If he honestly didn't (And don't think simply domestic US sales either...look at international) he wouldn't be making films at all like he does. And look at producers and their returns. If they didn't turn a profit, then they wouldn't hire him. It's like playing the stock market. Uwe Boll, however, consistently turns a profit for the producers. Only reason he gets work.
I never said they were same quality-wise...this is business. They both get results and their producers profits. That's all that really matters. Michael Bay merely gets it all up-front (and a lot more of it) whereas Uwe Boll gets his overseas and through video. So no, not asinine. It's very similar. Why is any director hired? Because they can turn a profit. Or have proven they can.

And I agree. If this bastard ignores our pleas, goes all arrogant and makes the turtles aliens, I too will not watch the movie. Not in theaters, nor will I rent it. hell I might pirate it and burn it to a disk just to spite him. Then turn the disk into a coaster. Also he will never get any money from me in the future either. He will have burnt the last of this bridge. |

I refused to believe that script is real. Unless Hollywood writes all drafts like a 16 year old virgin in heat.

I could write a better script than that, hell, half the people on this site probably could, even hawk, and he IS like a 16 year old in heat.

Considering the fact that I am writing a book(possibly a series if I can't cram it all in one volume) right now, I can say with all certainty that my inexperienced writing is 1000% better than that.

WOW, just WOW! I laughed so hard at this. What does that even mean? This script is hilarious, and yes a fake, click on the link and look at the cover page. Still funny though. |

I didn't read past that part because my office mates were looking at me funny. Hilarious, the tone is more like Brattner!

Hence the 'I refuse to believe it's real' part. Although I have seen some awful and real things on the internet. Anything goes!

I know, it's just too stupid. Too good to be true. But I stand by my words; I think Micheal Bay really is that fucking stupid.

I was a huge fan of TMNT growing up. And this news doesn't bother me at all. Mainly because I know that a movie called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III exists. And the second was awesome if you were 9 years old, but even I can admit it was a pretty terrible movie in most respects.
So yeah, I doubt even Michael Bay can produce worse TMNT movies than the ones that have already been made, so I'm actually looking forward to the end result of this. |
