Almost done with the game. Despite loving it, I need to play some other titles I have piling up at my house instead of jumping into NG+. Still to do are the following:
-Farm the Knights in Kiln of the First Flame to get 6 more chunks of white and titanite.
-Buy 20+ green shards.
-Re-run Catacombs to make a fire or chaos weapon.
-Run the Tomb of Giants to farm at least 30 humanity and find the white slab.
-Make a final weapon using the white slab.
-Get egg head so I can buy the two pyromancies from the dude with the egg sack back.
-Offer 30 humanity to the witch to get her pyromancy and talk to her sister in Blightown to get her final pyro spell for killing the Bed of Chaos.
-Defeat final boss.

Wouldn't waste money on buying green shards, they drop pretty frequently from leeches in blight town swamp. They drop in groups of 5 from them. Was farming for large titanite shards and ended up with 99 green shards.

Finished the Catacombs, Pinwheel was a joke. Also entered the Gravelord covenant and completed the requirements to get the goodies along with Blade of the Darkmoon covenant after that, I promptly betrayed them by destroying Dark Sun Gwyndolin . Only two covenants left, Chaos & Warrior of Sunlight.

Also finished Painted World and cut the boss tail. Only one tail left I believe. Next up Duke's Archives / Crystal Caves.

I completed all my objectives from post #2041 tonight, plus I also found a second titanite slab on a crystal lizard in The Great Hollow, so I was able to make a +15 weapon. The final boss took me about 8 tries and I finally defeated him on what I told myself was going to be my final try for the night.

He was a bitch; a fast bitch. I wore Havel's ring and armor set, used up all three iron skins and wore the ring that enhances sorcery damage (first time I used it...it boosted Great Fireball from doing low 600 damage to about 733 a hit, which was just enough to get the job done.) I actually hit him with the final fire ball when he was in mid jump with iron skin depleted and him hitting me at the same time down to 10% health.

Overall, it was one of my favorite games ever. I'll give it a 97%, deducting 3 points because of Capra Demon, Bed of Chaos and Lord Gwyn's retardedness. Everything else was perfect. I think I unlocked 71% of trophies and my final game time was 69hrs, 36minutes.

Now, on to something else.

As others will probably mention, he is surprisingly easy to parry. Which of course I didn't even remotely consider when I fought him. This felt like another one of those FROM tricks like Demon Firesage being weak to fire. The final boss, who is ridiculously fast and has a really long sword, is easy to parry? Really?

Even though I have enough un-played games that I could build a fort out of all the cases, I re-started Dark Souls. With a +5 Lightning Spear and +5 Ascended Pyro glove, I was blazing through the opening areas. Made it from the start of the game to past the metal boar in Undead Parish in exactly 30 minutes.

I took down Asylum Demon to get his hammer and beat Taurus demon while yawning. Black Knights still fall in two Great Orb blasts in NG+.

Edit: In less than 2hours, I ran from the beginning of the game, through Undead Berg and Undead Parish completely, rang the bell, defeated the Titanite Demon by the Sen's Fortress entrance, went back to the Undead Asylum and took out Stray Demon (to get me Titanite Slab!), took down Havel again, and ran through Lower Undead Burg and Capra Demon (now a joke).

Why do I keep on playing? Because it's awesome!

Same. Rumor is this is going to be the announcement of a PC version of the game with additional content as well as an expansion for the console version that includes said PC extra content.
