Hopefully they can either regain some of the focus from the first game, or at least refine the flaws of the second game. There needs to be a better way to get around the city than gliding, and there needs to be more to do than pre-scripted events if they're going to have a big open sandbox. Having a big play area that isn't dynamic just takes away from a game that would be better served by a smaller, focused experience.

i didn't like AC at first. The story didn't mesh with the open world. I put it away and a year after I restarted and loved it. It was one big secret hunt and I really felt like going all the way. The gliding felt really fluid as well, i can't think of a faster way except a fast ravel.

I bought it at launch and beat it soon after. I enjoyed it for what it was, but I feel that it was inferior to the original game, which was surprising since I was in favor of the shift to an open world.

The rumor has Rocksteady developing a new game based on the silver age of DC comics. Supposedly it's either a Justice League game or a Batman team-up game, something along the lines of Batman: The Brave & The Bold cartoon from a few years back. They're also supposedly aiming for the next gen hardware for it.

My problem with AC was that if the Riddler had that much influence, and was able to get that much set up in the region, why was he not the major villain?

Because Riddler's main focus is trying to prove that he's smarter than Batman. He doesn't have to motivation to be the main villain.

I agree with both of these since the reflect my two playthroughs. My first time was EXACTLY like what Widgetcraff says. It just didn't work for me, but somehow I fell in love the second time around a year later. Probably because I stopped wanting it to be Arkham Asylum and appreciated for what it was. I'd definitely recommend a second playthrough. (I still feel that Asylum was a much 'tighter' experience.)

I almost wonder where they could go next in the same world/setting? I'm pretty conversant in Bat-villains, and I'm struggling to come up with ones we haven't seen already.

That's why the JL/B&B idea is interesting. It adds a whole bunch of new characters to the mix as enemies/bosses.
