I started endurance training (from that "train to run long distance chart" that I posted previously) 49 days ago and here's my breakdown as of today:
March - (19 runs)(28.31 miles)(13:17 minutes/mile)(3650 cal. burn)
April - (25 runs)(52.65 miles)(11:18 minutes/mile)(6718 cal. burn)
I'm in the middle of the 8th's week and running 28 continuous minutes per run (outdoor). By this Sunday I'll be doing 30 minutes. And next week is the final week.
So, considering a 5K race is 3.1 miles, I'm pretty confident that I can do such race without having to run-walk.
PS. 10368 calories burn means almost 3 pounds of fat gone.
