F.U.D.Cast Season 2, Episode 13: Our Miserable Pile of Secrets (Castlevania: SotN)

Dracula rises again as we play Konami's masterpiece genre-redefining "Metroidvania" game, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Only one of our crew hadn't played the game before - Jeremy is the new player to this game, and comes out relatively pleased with what he had gotten out of the game. We also have another guest that joined us for this show, Nate, better known as "Shodan2020" schools us on facts about the Castlevania games - the guy is a pro with this stuff. So, enough talk about this show - have at you!

A wonderful episode to be sure. However, listening makes me really want a better microphone, my voice quality isn't the best... also I think I tended to ramble a little too much, but still it was a great pleasure to guest with you guys. Thanks!

I'd recommend you get a new mic for sure Nate, that aside though, your knowledge on the game far outweighed any issues from your excitement.

I grabbed the game on PSN based on the Cast's recommendation. Now if I could just get through the first fight without getting hit...

I really enjoyed the episode, great job guys!

Also got a strong urge to play the game again, but I have others I really need to go through first.

I am glad I played the game, but I dont think I'll ever play it again. I am really enjoying the new Castlevania game though.

Get holy water. Hit triangle until dracula dies. Easy.

You won't get the stat bonus, but you'll get the achievement.

I need to find a better quality one, the one I have now I picked up for like $10 at a Best Buy like a year ago. Would my 360 headset be of better quality?

But the stat bonus is the whole point.

I realize I'll have to play through it twice to get the best results. (Damn unskippable dialogue.) But the easy mode seems to be hydro storm, followed by crouching between monstro-Drac's legs and whipping him in the crotch until he goes down.

Well, keep trying then, I guess. There was a youtube of some dude getting a no-hit and being all fancy about it, but all I can find now are ones of dudes using hydro-storm.

You can super jump out of the way of dracula's big and mini fireballs, and you can flick-whip the little ones.

Yeah, but upon listening, I noticed that I made a few errors here and there... so my knowledge isn't absolute... especially when my excitement gets in the way.

Also, the falling bodies boss' name is Granfalloon.
