The generic argument makes me laugh, given the high praise Dragon Age receives.

I see a lot of Vagisil and Lanacane in her future.

Thanks for explaining. It sounds like fun!

Is it sort of like Enclave then? Dark Messiah was a great game, so that comparison definitely has me more interested.

I can't help but smirk about the idea that this character is "over" sexualized when she just looks like a live woman I saw 5 minutes ago in the Light Savers thread.

Man, I know I'm in trouble when the interest in any given game seems to directly correlate with the ability to make my character look like a filthy whore...

Hey, at least I'm honest...

It's all personal taste off course. But I couldn't stand that game either. And I did try for 20 hours till I just plain gave up.

I was talking about the looks dep. though, I haven't played it so don't know anything about how it plays, but the art direction really bores me already. Like Gears bores me as well, just generic videogame fantasy swapped for generic videogame sci-fi, that was kinda my point.

I'll probably play it, a one point, for 20 bucks.

I never said they weren't, just that the no action fantasy game argument isn't true.

And I wouldn't call Bayonetta generic, but that's me

I'm with you there. I even picked it up again a few weeks ago, and was determined to play further, in order to see what all the fuss was about. I just found it incredibly bland. First time I've seen a Bioware game that I would describe as being "phoned in".

It looks fine to me, plenty of detail, the E3 gameplay video of the cliff edge was a very nice view.
I agree it's not exactly innovative, but as long as it's fun to play, and the graphics are pleasing to my eye I don't need it to be running eleventy billion polygons on every model, or be using some amazing new shader style.
Take those Gun Loco screens from Squenix, for example. I think that looks bloody awful, but people seem to love it.

Strokes/Folks.

Have you played the NWN campaign?

EDIT: To add something more meaningful to the conversation, my only real problem with Bioware at the moment is that the structure of their games is getting more and more transparent. City areas are usually fine, with lots of smaller quests, but the main zones are all "talky bit at the start, dungeon crawl romp with completion of side quests, talk with NPC, another romp, twist, big decision, climactic battle, resolution."

I don't know whether it's a case of familiarity breeding contempt, or whether they are that mechanical. Hell, even Fable is structured in such a way that lets you run around the world and revisit locations. Bioware either need to figure out how to apply their narrative style to open world games, or they need to forget the "visit these three or four areas in any order you like" structure and make them totally linear so that they can make the pacing more interesting.

I liked NWN! Ok, not so much NWN 2, but I still enjoyed it more than the first few hours of DA:O.

Ignoring the mods and MP for a moment, which were fantastic and more than made up for the single player campaign, NWN is the single worst fantasy RPG I have ever owned. NWN2 was far superior, it was just technically shoddy and took too long to get going.

Huh. As I recall I prefered 1. Oh well.
Back on topic: lol boobz. I think Hunted looks to be potentially a lot of fun, and I forsee much arguing over who controls the cleavage.

You clearly recall wrong, as my opinion is so resplendent in it's mightiness that it has been transformed into unassailable fact!
