In Other News...November 23

- The demo of Bayonetta - which Japanese gamers have had access to for a couple months now - will be hitting the PSN and XBL on December 3.

- While Crackdown 2 will take place in the same city as the original, there will be some new areas to explore. Namely nine massive underground caverns for you to wreak havok in, each about the size of the Refinery from the original.

- Just in case there was any lingering doubt, Blizzard says not to expect Diablo 3 anytime in 2010. Yeah, they announce all of their games way too early.

- Bioware and Lucasarts have announced the final two (of eight total) launch classes for Star Wars: The Old Republic: the the Sith Inquisitor (offensive spellcaster) and Jedi Consular (ranged attacks and healing).

- A new patch is out for Demigod, which adds a new character - the Demon Assassin - to the mix.

- And finally, a thought provoking look at game release schedules around the world.

I guess I'll have to see how that shapes up. For me, returning to the same city doesn't work so well in games that encourage you to explore every inch (like the original Crackdown and the GTA series, both of which I greatly enjoy).

This is awesome. Gen, last article I read said things are so fucked up it won't feel like your are just running and jumping around the same city. Like those shanty towns. That wasn't in the last game.

For the whole lot of them for those that don't know.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to give this a try. I think they could of did it different. Focused some of it more on skill trees instead of separate classes for Jedi and Sith..

So they made two force classes, huh. Oh well, still playing a Smuggler first.

Like I said, I'll look into it, but I won't be all that surprised if I pass it up. GTA IV was an absolute explosion of Liberty City compared to GTA III, but it still wasn't enough to keep me from feeling a little disappointed about it. Still, the first Crackdown was quite fun...

I wonder if droids will be handled like pets if at all. Although I guess you can't run around with a HK-47.

I sort of wish there was a middle ground. Sort of like Jolee type jedi or dark jedi who aren't really sith, Droids, Wookies, Crime Syndicate. The people who were more or less looking out for there best interest.

Interesting about Crackdown 2. I wonder what the games full size will compare too?

Surprise!

If my experience with Diablo II is any indication, I kind of hope it comes out as soon as I retire.

It'll take an expansion pack before it's good anyway.

Demigods: Too little, too late. Now not even a footnote in gaming history, eclipsed by Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends.

Diablo 3 not coming out until 2011 means I can wait that much longer to upgrade my PC.

Diablo III, Blizzard why do you taunt me so?! Not even 2011?

Not as excited for Starcraft II as I thought I would be.

I'm so out of it I just found out about HoN and LoL.

I have to admit the Demigod folks really managed to shoot themselves in the foot with that game.

At one point, I gave a crap about Diablo III. Frankly Blizzard hasn't produced anything except WoW stuff since 2003; who knows if any of the new stuff will be any good. I am no longer very excited about Blizzard for Blizzard's sake.
