At PAX, this kind of person usually gets a hug from me and is offered a drink. It works remarkably well!

I'm the opposite though it's because of the online community. It's difficult to find people to play with after an XBL game has been out for a few months.

Where as on PSN it seems to be always difficult to find anyone. At all.

I'll tell you, I've never had an issue finding someone to play with online. Except maybe Mortal Kombat 2 and Rampage. To be fair though, I may be the only guy that ever bought those.

I got resistance the day MGS4 came out and tried for two months to get someone to co-op with me. No dice.

I still play R1 every now and again online and I have no issue picking up games. Not sure what the difference between us is. Maybe you should get off dial-up. Looks like this highspeed fad might stick.

For multiplayer-heavy games... you are spot-on. I normally don't mind picking up older single-player affairs months or years after the release. The thread on Divinity 2 reminded me that I didn't have enough PC to play Divine Divinity when it came out. 5 years old? Not a problem.

I usually throw the lack of folks on PSN as a joke. But for seriouses, I can't ever think of a time when I logged on to XBL and had less than 10 friends on. At all hours of the day. My community of friends is pretty much always thriving there.

Same here. I've always had many more friends on XBLA than I ever did on PSN though these days it's been getting close. Fact still remains I get the same amount of playtime with both which is none. My online gaming is done on my PC.

The vast majority of my friends on 360 are people I know in real life or they are friends of friends and that takes up a lot of my spaces. I don't really add people I don't know. For all my PSN friends only 2 of them are PS3 only users and the rest are multi-console owners.

Everyone by default on my list plays online games on the 360 and the only time I'll see people on the PS3 is if they sign on then sign right off which means they are watching a Blu-ray.

The black box underneath on that billboard is totally where a release date goes. I imagine they'll digitally add it in later.

Also, count me as someone who hated Resistance 1 but thought 2 was a lot of fun.

I really hope the new Ratchet is up to their old standards. I neve liked Resistance one bit and even Ratchet started slipping after 4.

Quality maybe for some, but I find it all pretty boring and uninvolving at the moment.

Yea. After the third Ratchet, I just kinda got bored with the series. Each game did something new to make it bigger and better. But "Deadlock" or whatever it was called was lame, and the Future series is the same damn thing with very pretty graphics...minus some features. I will say Size Matters was impressive on the PSP...some very great level design in that little game. But I don't think Size Matters was done by Insomniac...or what about Secret Agent Clank? Anyone wanna give me the heads up on this?

I don't mind sequels, so long as the sequels improve upon the foundations of its predecessor and offers at least a couple of new things. Hell, people who bring up Mario games as a Nintendo example of sequelitis confuse me. Most Mario games are completely different from one another. Not to mention the quality of the titles speak for themselves.

For the past few months it's been like this for me too. That all ends tonight.

Finally someone who feels the same about the series. It really was top notch until they made Deadlocked a pure shooter and Future a pretty version of 1 again. It just removed too much shit to be interesting for a next gen platform. I loved 2 for the exploration and 3 for it's dynamic interaction with other characters (squads and such)

Mario is more of a character icon too me, just a character set in many different kind of games.

I'm probably 80% pc, 20% xbla.

Though I PC game at work. At home it's likely 50/50ish split for online play.

I expect to be playing a great game no matter what amount of imaginary currency I am employing to purchase that game.

funny thing about that is that the original was a launch title and i like the game but it only sold 3.6 million copies for that reason but thats why the second sold worse. Tell you the true i enjoyed the second one a lot more then the first
