I got it in a steam sale and loved it.
I liked the robots as enemies. One of the problems in games like this is just that the weapons often feel like Nerf guns because you're stuck emptying a magazine or two into an enemy before it enters its arbitrary kill state. The different body locations, the way they blow up, and the stages in which enemies die really mitigated a lot of that sluggishness without really changing the way the game fundamentally works. Constantly giving you visual, audio, and gameplay (in the form of diminished enemy capacity) reinforcement in the form of shattered armor and destroyed limbs. I especially liked the berzerk state robots entered without a head. It also had a lot of bosses I found quite fun. Which is rare, I'm not really a boss guy. So yeah, just figured I'd throw in my 2 cents. |

Yeah the over the top bosses really made a lot of the game for me. Massive robot gorillas, fire breathing bikers and a hopping spider just added to the arcadey feel.

Wrapped this up just now. At least this game had a happy ending. Not too bad from start to finish. Totally worth the sale price. Pretty decent story as well.
