ADD was talking about someone who is cared for by her agency, the staff are claiming someone is going off the deep end because they either talk to themselves a lot, walk a fake dog and other behaviors along those lines. I'll give you the same answer I reminded ADD: someone to have psychotic symptoms, there is a lot more than just either talking to yourself or believing someone is walking a fake dog. You can openly talk to yourself. That wouldn't get you on a waiting list for a local psych. visit

In the mental health field/work place, you have to be crazy to work in the field. It's the first question anyone asks you. Or as someone who I used to work with said "the only difference between the staff and patients at a psych. ward are the staff are not treated for their symptoms but patients are".

I came up with a funny scene once about two guys passing by a fellow they assume is talking on a blue tooth. It was something like this:

*two young men approach a man in a suit who is standing on the sidewalk and chattering animatedly*
"Man, those headsets creep me out. They're hard to see."
"Yeah. It makes me think they're talking to me."
"Or they're schizophrenic and talking to themselves."
"That too."
*They walk past him. He seems to be having an argument. As the two young men walk away, the camera pans around to show that the man is not wearing a Blue Tooth at all and is in fact yelling at a small squirrel statue on the ground.*

Very Catch-22!

Saturday is the Florida/Georgia football game madness that descends on Jacksonville once a year. I have no dog in this fight, but have been invited by my la chica's friend to tailgate all day at the stadium. Apparently, we start at 6:30 tomorrow morning and will be finishing up sometime around midnight. Jell-O shots have been made, beer purchased by the case load, and plenty of good food. Someone is bringing a beer pong table (?) but that shit's for the youngbloods.

I haven't had to drink for that long in some time, so we'll see what else, if anything, I accomplish this weekend.

The spiderweb games are great! I own all of them practically. But I was looking for something a bit more modern and consuming in its atmosphere. I do have some more Grimrock to get through so it's possible I could start that up. And I never got too far in the Witcher. And there is still Mass Effect to play, though I am more in the mood for action than talky talk right now.

I will be playing...uhm...hmmm...I have a couple games to check out. Probably Walking Dead 4. Crossing my fingers I continue my good luck with my save games.

I have the day off today, so I slept in and will soon play an afternoon full of Skyrim!

The rest of the weekend will probably be more Skyrim, maybe Icewind Dale, watching Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and waiting anxiously for Tuesday to come for my new PSVita.

I still need to play The Witcher, it's just sitting there on my PC taking up 18GB of space. Maybe when i finish some of my half started games I have sitting around I'll fire that up.

Finally going to delve into Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The timing's right. If I manage to finish that I think there's some Dead Space 2 lying around waiting to be beaten.

Isn't this the truth. I find it funny at my place because the staff often exhibit the exact behaviours that they are spending their times trying to get the residents to stop. I'm always a little leery about people who seem too 'normal' at my work. I need some oddball antics or it's just not right.

Amnesia... so good. I need to play that some more too.

Well, I have a late meeting at work tonight (stupid people scheduling stupid meetings at 5pm on a stupid friday) but after that, I'm hoping to dig into some games over the weekend.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward (Vita) - I've had this since, well, Wednesday, technically. I have only just fired it up but I like what little I've seen. The game looks lovely on the Vita, which is nice.

Dishonoured (PC) - I think about this game all the time... except when I'm sitting down in front of my computer. That's when something else distracts me. I need to fire it back up again and get my sneak on.

Professor Layton & The Mask Of Miracle (3DS) - This comes out on Sunday. Woo! Puzzles for everyone!

Hotline Miami (PC) - I feel so bad for the guy that I poured boiling water on every time I restarted a level. He was a guaranteed kill but I had to restart that level soooo much...

That's about it. My son and my friends and I are also going out to Videogames Live on Sunday evening, which I'm quite stoked for. It's my third time going and it never gets old. We also have the exact same seats we've had the last two times, which are amazing front-row balcony seats. Love it. If nothing else, I'll get lots of hits on my 3DS!

Actually going to do my Playthrough of Bully so I can enjoy halloween in that.

Also Purple I didn't think you were guessing in yesterday's thread, I thought you got the numbers from some research paper and they were guessing.

Actually, you compelled me to look up the Kings Bounty games and I think I might actually give one a shot this weekend. I think I'll start with Legend (that's the first of the more recent ones, right?). It got great reviews. Youtube plays looked fun.

I've honestly never played one, but I've heard good things over the last few years. KB: Armored Princess has a demo on Steam, and Legend has one out there if you look for it. I'm curious myself and may give a demo of one a shot this weekend. You can never, ever, have too many RPGs.

Rightfully so. Just like the old one. I have no issue with shooters. But completely broken, barely programmed pieces of utter trash, don't deserve any success.

I just played a whole level of Dishonored and completely forgot to look for Runes/Charms.

Oh well, I don't care THAT much.
