Edit - The crazy dreams probably have a lot to do with the stress and lack of sleep I've been dealing with lately. Less than six hours a night, on top of a ton of stress around school, certainly isn't doing anything good for my health.

I've been getting about 4 hours of sleep per night, avoiding the usually inevitable midday naps by downing a Starbucks Doubleshot 16oz sometime in the early afternoon. I've just seemed to have so much to do this week. I wrote in sick to class tomorrow so I can just fuckin' sleep already.

I don't drink coffee, so I don't have that to fall back on. Hopefully I can catch up on some sleep this weekend. Tomorrow morning I have another exam, otherwise I'd be tempted to sleep in as well.

I have trouble sleeping in general where I wake up every hour or so. I'll get around 4-5 hours total on most nights, except when I'm sick (like this week) then I'm out for 8-9 hours. It's really killing my productivity both being sick and having fewer waking hours to get things done.

I made it through Sequences 6 and 7 in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations last night, so I’m finally closing in on the end of the game. There have been some pretty cool areas to go through, and the Altair stuff was more satisfying than I thought it’d be. As good as AC3 and Liberation look I think I’ll be good with AC for a little while, I’ll probably pick them up in February or so. Unless somehow there’s a really nice deal on Black Friday bundling the PS3 and Vita games together…..

So in an effort to polish off some of the half finished games I have sitting around I’m trying to decide what to play once AC:R is done. Right now it’s probably between Fallout New Vegas, Sly Cooper 2, and Warhammer 40k Space Marine, with Dragon Age Origins having an outside shot.

Tonight’s gaming will likely center around the Vita since I’ll be watching football. Maybe the Bucs can actually win their third game this season. That will likely involve a mix of Retro City Rampage and Mutant Blobs Attack.

I had the same dream! Except I was a detective.

This weekend I am going to roll some new MM6 characters and start it for real. My son kept me from doing so last night just as I was picking my party. Everyone talks about how magic is best in this game but I still may pick a knight as my misc skill person as well as a cleric, sorcerer and probably a druid? Wish I could rely on more might but it sucks in this game.

Otherwise, more Hotline Miami when the kids aren't watching. So violent but it is compulsive and makes you want to keep playing. Late at night it is more disturbing with the weird soundtrack and surreal nature.

Hey, speak for yourself, I don't "suffer" from sleep deprivation, I love it. Sleep is a waste of time, I have better things I could be doing.

Shit. Sleep for me has been replaced by brief rest periods where the evil meter is replenished.

Hmm. Deadlight, RCR, and Hotline Miami are all tempting me, but I have way too much to play already.

I never thought about most of us are insomniacs. Except in the case of Karak who is a robot and only rests his circuits from overheating.

This is the best explanation of your sleep patterns ever.

I quit soft drinks (sodas) on Sunday, and all I think about is sleep. And murder. But that's just the sugar and caffeine withdrawals. Too tired to kill.

But my sleep has improved vastly, and I hit sleep almost immediately.

Cutting out soda is probably the number one factor related to my improving health.

Once I got over the caffeine withdrawals, of course. I wish you well.

While you're debating, play Frog Fractions. Oh my god, so awesome.

I have days where I really do have problems sleeping, but it's usually a matter of me just staying up too late playing a game or something. I find that if I WANT to stay up late (to read or play a game or watch a movie, for instance), I'll have a hard time staying up past 11pm. If I have to be somewhere first thing the next day, I'll be staring at the clock at 3am knowing that my alarm is going off in 2-3 hours.

I had a staff complain about how little sleep he gets. He said something about not being up at 8am and how hard it was to get up that early now that he doesn't work mornings. I glared at him. Then he said, "What? I go to bed at 1am!" I glared at him some more. I am usually up until at least 1:30 or so in the morning and have to be up at 6:30-7 at the latest. And I have kids and a wife at home to contend with. He's got an empty apartment.

Grr...

NO I WISH YOU WELL YOU BASTAR--

Sorry. Got a little shaky for a minute.

Almost broke today at the burger place, but I got a strawberry-lemonade instead (fresh squeezed, not Minute Maid). Probably had a mountain of sugar, but it's not a soda, so I'm not counting it. :P

Plus, no caffeine in it, so that's still working.
